My SA, a popular Mazda and Ford SA from this forum, informed me that there will be no shipment this month and I can only get the car next month.

QUOTE(mroys@lyn @ Jun 14 2012, 10:06 AM) heard from other forum that mazda SC will be able to provide the installation (without warranty void) soon. My thinking is that while we are supportive and understanding that Bermaz will take time to settle these little problems, and rightly so, we shall give them time and space to do so, but we vehicle owners must also be united. |

If you ask the salesmen (some may not know), there is a reason why nowadays cars don't come with auto-lock. There is a case in Canada where an accident happened to a lady driver, she won a court case against a car manufacturer (with auto-lock issue). All the manufacturers had a meeting and most decided that they will no longer have auto-lock to all their cars. Honda the first to react I was told.

But if I am not wrong, the car will automatically unlock/lock upon impact and detecting an accident. |

QUOTE(JayC75 @ Jun 14 2012, 09:32 AM) very dangerous without autolock, imagine lady forget to lock it and suddenly people come in and kidnap away... IMO, auto-lock is not a good thing.Reason being, most factory-standard auto-lock mechanisms only lock after the car has been driven above a certain speed. Imagine if you're cruising around the carpark at a low speed, anyone can just open your car door and pull you out. I always advocate getting in the car and locking it immediately before even putting the key into the ignition. Auto-lock makes people complacent and gives a false sense of security. I'm not a fan of it at all. |

The problem is, Mazda's keyless-ignition does not allow locking the car before starting the engine. The engine will stop within seconds if you lock the car prior to that. Then the alarm kicks-in. It is so inconvenient and dangerous.

I went to their showroom in Kota Damansara few days back, SA told me delivery time for CX5 is at least 6 months minimum....they did not even have a test drive unit for me to test. Wondering if any of you guys know which showroom that has a test drive unit and whether the delivery time can be shorten? thanks
