Hi, I'm new to aquatic pets. I have a few 4ft and 3ft tanks left by my friend and I'm thinking of keeping fishes. I've read some tips online and would like to get some advice about where I should start.

1. Should I get a filter and pump?
YES. You need to do a research on the different filtration systems that you can do for your tanks BEFORE buying. Otherwise you'll be wasting money.
2. What would be the best fish species for beginner? Easy to be taken care of and less demanding on the environmental factors
Each species of fish has it own characteristics. You need to know about them. Some just gulp their food down; others eat, puke them out and eat again, causing the water quality to deteriorate faster.
3. Any recommended aquatic pet shop?
4. Internet says that I should not locate the fish tanks outdoor under direct sunlight. What would be the solution if I have no choice?
Provide more shade for your tanks.
