Dr. Dev is a breeder/show dog competitor. He has bred quite a number of ch.s and has a pretty impressive track record in the show ring. His dobes are mostly from US/Aus lines(i think);very fine structure (not my cuppa) whistling.gif
If ur interested in dobes, try researching EU lines...they are very solid and many can still work. rclxms.gif

I heard that Dr Dave's doberman who won best in show he spent money roughly equivalent to RM100k to import that dog? Have you been to the previous show? There is another Doberman which won best in show, not belongs to Dr Dave, it is belongs to a chinese. Handled by a Chilie handler, but the owner is Malaysian.

I suppose GR is relatively easier to care for, toy group with long furs you will have more work to do. But still, whatever breed you going to own, do sufficient and appropriate research, plan it before you purchase it, then you should have no problem.

Hi,
Well, show dogs usually fetch a higher price (maybe that is why they are alot more expensive!!)...I wouldn't be surprised if it cost tht much for a V/BIS/BOB winner
Sorry, can't answer ur question...Don't really know the show circle as it is not my cuppa...could it be roger ?? sunny?? dunno la...don't keep up with the show ring.. whistling.gif blush.gif just like to look see look see once in a while but am not active.

GR seem to be suitable for beginners...they're very ppl oriented..but pls do not expect him to be a guard dog! it would be very unfair... doh.gif
Toy group dogs are good too...i think they are easier to maintain..in terms of food, exercise and space..but most hv pretty long fur..
Haha...for me...the best type of fur is the smooth coat,ie. dobes, bullmastiff, pitbull, boxer type....super short. Any fur that requires combing is considered long to me...! rclxm9.gif
Becareful abt low prices...the pup may be cheap but tht may mean that the breeding is low quality and u will "pay" later through vet bills (this does not mean expecnsive dogs are good dogs either!!) Do take heed of white palace says..go only to breeders, check the environment, see the parents.
