hey guys,

was wondering if this certification is expensive ? and if it is hard to pass the certification ?

hope people who already took it can share the experience, as well as how to source for the material...

Yes, basic is easy. Those higher levels are normally sponsored by companies. Even the basic is sponsored by companies. Easy to pass one la... wink.gif as long as you do your homework. wink.gif

As long you do your homework, remember the processes by heart and have common sense, you should be able to pass.

ITIL Foundation
Self study and take exam (RM750+)
Training course at training centre (On average RM3500-RM4000)

ITIL Intermediate modules
On average RM8000-RM9000 for training/exam, for 1 module. There are 4 modules in Service capability and 5 modules in Service Lifecycle.
Get company sponsor or else your bank account will be zerorized. lol

Most of the exam is very easy. I had pass until intermediate. No need to study also can pass as long as you have working experience in using ITIL

Hei guys,

since you are talking about certification to management level.
Know more about PMP which you can get RM3K grant from MDec.

PMP is about RM4K, with MDec grant, you just need to top up RM1K and get your PMP.
So far PMP is wide accepted by multinational country companies.

During my time ( 2009-2010, forgot ) i passed my ITIL Foundation Exam, received the result by email and they gave me link to downloaded the result paper and the certificate as well.

No hard copy or badge given.

So, you can use that soft copy certificate and print it out. there is serial number in there, so should not worry about the genuine or not. biggrin.gif

Accidently saw your post, which you posted in 2012. If you haven't taken it and still interested to take it, you can contact Castele Solutions for further advice. They just recently posted 3 ITIL courses on our website: here, here, and here. You can take a look.

Hope this helps.

ITIL V3 is too basic and simple enough that you can do on your own without paying rm1k-rm5k++ for training. If you are familiar with torrents, search up ITIL v3 cbt nuggets or videos from train signal. Watch them is like you go for training and its all in your own schedule. Pay rm500 for the test and pass, voila you are certified ITIL v.3 Foundation. Then claim back the RM500 from MDEC with proof of passing certification and look, you got your cert for free smile.gif

Hello fellas.. I am new here..

I am thinking to take the Foundation Exam..
Is there any way to sit the exam only without attend any training course... (try to save budget with self-study)
Where is the test center and where can I buy the examination voucher?

I have been searching about this information...

Thank you very much.
