I'm considering to take this as part of my freelance/part-time or probably even go full time.

1. how's the job market/prospect like for someone who draws cartoon/graphics for purposes of brochures, leaflets, movies, etc. in Malaysia?
Simply put, is it advisable for someone to go full-time for this field for our country here?
(examples of cartoons/graphics refered above, would be like arts of 'Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within', sketches/draft drawings for movies like Star Wars, Lord of the Ring's Gollum)

2. how does the movie makers get their virtual characters downloaded into a computer to be further worked/edited on?
[ I am assuming that the character is initially hand-drawn on a piece of normal paper; but how do they transfer the arts to the computer unless they're using some device that captures hand-drawn arts straight into the computer? ]

3. what are the skills, softwares, applications, etc. that I need to pick up if I were to dwell/get involved in this field?

1) i don't know..i'm doing graphics when i got no homework (i'm still a secondary student)
2) i don't know either..

3) if you wanna do webgraphics(websites) - photoshop(graphics), xhtml, css and sometimes php too.
for print artwork (banner/ads,etc2) - illustrator, photoshop..

for those who want to be a designer..make sure you have super great pc specs.. and take good care of your computer.. clients doesn't really care what happens to you or your pc.. they want the designs before the deadlines...
