Is it true the G version has battery prob, not lasting and the phone hangs?
*
No, are you running any pirated apps? Also, what is your phone configuration?

Yup noticed the same thing. Tried using 160,267,267 and nenamark was still the same
*
Yup, seems like the sysfs interface is broken :/

The brightness too is broken as everytime I restart, the brightness resets itself and I have to go to ExtTweaks to move the slider a bit then move it back to 0, then only I can get the brightness I want.

Haha very very great person, quite the weird expression for a developer tongue.gif
The more, the smoother general operations should be. But at the same time less multitasking
The more minfree, the better performance would theoretically be. The whole argument of free RAM does not go to waste for Linux. Similar to v6 super charger or LMK from Thunderbolt! scripts ma.
Hmm where's pikachu when you need him tongue.gif I know he swears by sio being the best, but siyah's default is cfq, and noticed when you set "performance" profile for siyah, it goes to vr unsure.gif
SIO is theoretically the best for flash devices. Though, with the latest update, it uses some of deadline's setting to weigh in reads more than write (thus making it favour reads). ThunderBolt! makes it a fair scheduler by making a 1:1 ratio.

Gokhanmoral changed it due to 1 person complaining that SIO feels less smoother than CFQ.

QUOTE(ellimist @ Apr 17 2012, 10:33 AM)
Oh no la, not task killer. Just tweaking the inbuilt one via scripts etc. Not really lack of memory, just once again the theory that free memory boosts performance or something.

Important Note: FREE RAM IS NOT WASTED! - Read Linux Memory Consumption

Might help reduce your stutters experienced tongue.gif

Oh @pikachu : Any news from GM on the GPU tweaks issue?
Nope, no news yet. Haven't tested RC5 yet. Maybe tonight?

No, CFQ has too much overhead that it tries to be fair but slows down the system trying to be fair.

About the CFS, not sure. Perhaps a link? CFS is fine in ICS.

What custom rom? How did you install it?

Can you see it after mounting your internal sdcard on your PC?

Might be placebo but felt that NEAK and v3.0.1 is smother then the rc series. That's why still hoping for something more on v3.1

Siyah is pretty smooth after some tweaking wink.gif

Hmm somehow felt 3.1 series not as smooth also, especially swiping smoothness. Will see what he does in 3.1 full release and consider neak

@pikachu, what kinda tweaks? smile.gif I've changed to "performance profile", and from there only thing I changed was suspend freq to 500mhz, i/o scheduler to sio. And usual UVs
*
QUOTE(AstonCheah @ Apr 20 2012, 02:54 PM)
how to tweak and what is the setting?

i am using psycho mantis v2 and siyah r6, thanks.
*
Installing ThunderBolt! is the first thing tongue.gif

Other than that, using SIO and smartassV2 (ThunderBolt!'s setting).

One thing to note is that undervolting too much GPU sometimes produces stutters (be careful of this). I only undervolted the 160MHz to 850mV.

Thoravukk is so far not bad. Quite batt efficient like others reported. But it does not have the smooth scrolling of voku.
*
How's Thoravukk compared to Siyah then? Don't have AOSP ROM to try it on. :/

We've been discussing last time that Siyah's tweaks doesn't seem to affect Nenamark. Changing any GPU steps still results in same nenamark. Dono if still like that or not on RC6.

On another note, RC6 has pretty damn good battery, at least standby wise laugh.gif

Hmm if no significant advantage to Siyah, guess I'll stick to Siyah first
*
Oh, forgot to update you. It was fixed in the latest RC6. The settings now affect Nenamark without issues. 160 vs 267 really produces different results in a lot of runs. And all those runs are consistent with 160MHz vs 267MHz.

Can someone run wireshark (shark for root) on their phones while asleep on wifi? See if you're getting the same NetBIOS/SMB packets (port 445) while on Siyah RC6.

Yup. The latest RC6 caused a brick when you try to flash or do any wipe operations in CWM.

Guys, ever encountered the device heating up after loading Tegrak overclock module? This occurs even without any tweaks of sorts at Tegrak. Just loading it.
