Currently running theybyani's XWLP3. Did I miss anything major and is there any newer ICS ROM which is better than the XWLP3?

Why is everybody here moving on to Hydrogen ICS? What advantage does it have over the regular Samsung based ones? I mean, the Samsung ones are also themed into the pure ICS colours. So I see no difference.

Ahh, well, you people enjoy the pure ICS then. I will be flashing Thebyani's LP4 tonight. Upgrading from LP3.

I already did the home button lagfix with my v3.7. Does the v3.8 have the call mod with record? I don't see it under the download section

It is very stable and smooth. Battery life is fantastic too. The only weird thing is the Bluetooth word in settings when the phone is in portrait mode. It is chopped off. In V3.6 this problem was not there.

Nope, a bigger card can never slow the phone down. I am using a 32GB also and it runs perfectly fast.

All those stories are lies because the only thing that can slow a phone down is a lot of tiny files, not storage size. But those with more storage tend to have more tiny files, so it is partially true.

The Class denotes the WRITE SPEED ONLY. The Read speeds are IDENTICAL unless it is those fancy Sandisk ones which are too overpriced. Get Either Sandisk or Kingston. Avoid Transcend.

The read speeds for my Kingstons are about 19MBPs. The Transcend is only 9MBPs.

In daily use, the only factor which determines the speed is the read speed. We hardly ever write to it unless we are transferring stuff to the card.

So save your money and get a class 4. Use the spare cash on a nice case.

I would only ever consider buying a higher class for my DSLR for continuous shooting speed (and to clear the buffer quickly).

Not too sure about Samsung. But I prefer Kingston because they are Gods when it comes to Memory. Sandisk does not do any RAM or SSD's or whatever. Plus, Kingston has lifetime warranty.

Kingmax is another good brand with lifetime warranty.

If it feels heavy, then it is not a notification, it is an ongoing task.

Wahh, all of you on H2 ICS seem to have so many problems. Why not try other ROM's?

Those Microsoft idiots are scams. I am sure you heard about the Galaxy Nexus that smoked a windows phone. The Nexus guy was supposed to win a $1000 worth laptop. He was disqualified and he got nothing.

My screen was always yellowish since day one. But after a few minutes of turning the phone on, the tint disappears. Plus, I use Screen Adjuster and that makes the colours perfect.

But I notice that the colours in ICS seems to be less yellowish compared to GB. Or maybe Siyah kernel fixes it up.

Is Siyah kernel still the only ICS kernel?

Does anyone know how to get the ICS lockscreen the one where can just swype anywhere?

Thebrani v3.7 had this, but now 3.8 has the one where must touch the lock circle and drag to the right.

I would wait for the S4 or the S5 then only change. As it is, quad cores are more of a gimmick. The only real use I see is in tablets with 1080p or 1200p screens. Those need more processing power. But even then, nothing can ever come close to the performance and functionality of a Tablet PC.

All you see online are fantastic benchmarks from Tegra 3. But what is the point if the user experience will be the same? It is not like Crysis 3 is going to ever come out on phones and tablets..

About the ICS transitions, go to the developer settings and make the scale of both to 0.5x. Makes the phone look and feel faster. 0 is to disable completely. Make it 10x if you want to annoy friends (the transitions are ultra slow and smooth)

Check out thebyani's ICS. Runs perfectly with 0 bugs.

I agree. 3.0.1 is much better than RC3. I lost 15% last night and could not find out what was causing the crazy wakelocks. My phone was in flightmode some more...
