I will be checking my sister's phone as she complained it always hanged. Running GB 2.3.5/.6 right now, rooted.
Is CM9 or KANG suitable for daily use now? Thought of flashing it.

QUOTE(Shizuru @ Apr 7 2012, 12:43 AM) Need getting use to. If your sister is use to Sammy base. Better stick to it. I'm sure she'll like the new Talk video effects feature. lol. She's just normal user, rarely goes into Settings the kind. So I guess the change won't impact her much. So, advisable to go with CM9 or KANG or anything? 1st page doesn't seem to provide links to these custom ROMs and I don't want to spend hours checking the whole thread.

You can check out others kang or cm9 at xda as well. Flashed my sister's phone to this ROM finally. Then I realised that the video recording comes out with weird colours. Is there a patch for this as I'm not sure if it's part of the CM9 bug which was carried over to AOKP. QUOTE(Shizuru @ Apr 14 2012, 09:45 PM) No weird discolouration here. Maybe you should try reflashing the rom But.. but... the flash was successful. I mean discolouration is not during recording. It's after recorded then playback, the colour is out. I have set everything in already, can I just flash it over, without wiping?

QUOTE(Kelvin Elaine @ Apr 14 2012, 11:13 PM) guess i will give up on moving to hydrogen since the space taken is significant.if set to 24 dpi its so small its barely there.but in the half hour of testing indeed there are no fc and such.below is the pic taken of cm9 and hydrogen.the pic is also taken by a s2 » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « [attachmentid=2790603] It's pointless having the software buttons. The screen estate already smaller than GNex, better leave it off. Only problem with Hydrogen is, the font size. They are rather unpredictable. Must strike a good balance on the DPI.
