Yes, app and data will lost UNLESS you backup them earlier... What happened to it? Flashed new rom and such happen? You can TRY flash new rom that do not require wipe and hope that solve the problem. Just thinking of different ways to solve your problem...

Happened to me once.

Not sure if you have those IMEI backup before this (EFS file)

Not sure if you can check your SD if you connect to computer.

My case happen when phone can boot up but cannot detect sim. If you can't on it then....hmm! I can't remember your phone can on or not.

If can on do this (works for me when I lost IMEI)
1. Assume you got EFS backup in your SD
2. Copy all your data from both SD to my laptop etc
3. Format external sd
4. Wipe phone using settings inside phone / factory reset
5. Wipe phone using CWM if still available
6. After this, use terminal emulator to force the EFS to restore (so call).

I am on busy hectic schedule today so can't reply much. If you google restore EFS using terminal emulator, should find your answer.

THis works IF your phone can on. If cannot on...send to sc maybe?
