Hi everyone! I am interested to change my stock radio head unit to maybe a double DIN one which enables me to connect my iphone or flash drive to play mp3. Not really particular about the brand whether its Kenwood or Pioneer etc. Not sure if there's any mirrorlink-enabled headunits which go below rm1000..Appreciate any recommendations given, thanks - My ride: Suzuki Swift - Prefers SQ/SPL/SQL: SQL / no preference - File format/medium used for my source: mp3 with flash drive or Iphone / mirrorlink or spotify capabilities - Music genre: Any, no preference - Budget: 1K (if possible, if not can stretch it to 1k-1.5k) - Setup type preferences: no preference, just wanting to change head unit only - Other requirements (if any): Good and neat installation, able to work with steering wheel controls, usb for flash drive / iphone This post has been edited by moonbase: Nov 15 2016, 12:19 PM

QUOTE(nuttyking91 @ Nov 16 2016, 08:00 PM) if you're looking for branded ones then u can go for models like this one. http://www.kenwood.com/my/car/visual_navig...016bt/spec.htmlsupports airplay this model from pioneer supports spotify but im not sure about mirroring from ur phone though http://www.pioneer.my/my/products-detail/i...uct=AVH-X2850BT if u dont mind other brands there's actually alot of other China/Taiwan brands below 1k that can support such features thank you for the recommendation! was looking at those models too but hmm probably have to spend a bit more than i expected definitely will be avoiding those china brands tho

QUOTE(nuttyking91 @ Nov 19 2016, 02:07 AM) pricing is high due to our conversion rate. can't expect good price nowadays if ur looking at reputable brands... usually for HU ppl won't go wrong with Pioneer, Kenwood and Alpine. JVC, Blaupunkt, Sony and Clarion is better valued for money, but some don't come with fancy lightings or designs. interface wise also not so cool as well. Not all supports FLAC file too, so u need to check on that as well. yeah sigh our money is low these days, but yeah was considering between pioneer or kenwood, thanks man appreciate it!

Pretty keen on the Sony XAV-V630BT I saw on fasmoto which gives me bluetooth capabilities and plus labour and all the extra installation trim kit, fits my budget of rm1000 This post has been edited by moonbase: Nov 21 2016, 06:24 PM

thanks nuttyking, annas473 QUOTE(akallen @ Nov 24 2016, 05:10 PM) If not so fussy type and budget..can go for Sony lahh.. but don't expect the greatest of all.. I also was into Sony as it's quite budget type of player.. perhaps if just an upgrade for daily listening.. shouldn't be any prob.. most audiophile ppl still prefer Pioneer eventhough Sony has come up with their high res audio player which I don't see much in malaysia... price is also a killer... Sony player will only ngam with Sony speakers and amp.. thanks akallen, yup im just looking to upgrade from my daily listening, just to link phone to radio via bluetooth and play spotify and put in a usb stick..my current stock suzuki radio doesnt have the aux audio option/usb drive. This Sony one, including the trim kit/panel and wiring all, just comes nicely around my budget of rm1000
