sifu sifu sekalina,

i've always wanted to have a decent sound system for my ride, but have been holding back due to other financial commitments. I'll be getting a new ride soon and thought that this would be a good time to upgrade since the original one is pretty shitty. I dont intend to change ori palia made in china HU yet since it has built in GPS. i intend to save up for that and change it next year. Appreciate all advise and recommendations

- Budget: 2k
- Ride: Hyundai Elantra 1.8
- Prefer SQ/SPL/SQL: i'm inclined more towards SQ (does this mean that it will not have enough oomph if i were to play bassy songs? Not that i want the other outside to hear what i'm playing)
- File format/medium used in your source: Current HU supports CD/DVD/USB/iPhone or iPOD direct connector/AUX
- Genre of music you listen to: a mixture - Adult contemporary, R&B, Hip Hop, Jazz, Alternative, Nu Metal, the occasional K-pop (the better ones tongue.gif) - not really a techno fan.
- Setup type preferences: 2 way passive i guess
- Other requirements : not changing ori palia HU.

all advise is most appreciated. smile.gif

wahhh poison!!!.. biggrin.gif i only got 2k budget wor.. i saw this unit being sold in Automotive Garage for 1.8k-2k, without installation. if not mistaken it does not come with GPS right? ish ish.. decisions.. btw, you're probably talking to one of the few dinosaurs who are still on symbian.. biggrin.gif

so i take it you're suggesting a HU change first before components/amps/sub right? let me redo my budgeting. I'll let you poison me more when i come over to get my UR bars installed.

Forget the UR bars laaa... they make you go faster around corners. ICE makes you drive sensibly (provided you don't listen to techno) and makes you more relaxed.

ICE first then bars mah

This either means you got a damn good deal on your amp or you need better speakers!  whistling.gif

Many thanks to bro howiechoo and bro ezmeer for opening up a new dimension of sound to me last Saturday. rclxms.gif

Love the new setup, even though i'm still using the lousy stock HU. the speakers and the amps really DID make a difference. of course coupled with Howie's tuning!! notworthy.gif

ezmeer, thank for upgrading and selling me ur C-line for a good price thumbup.gif
