Prefers SQ/SPL/SQL: SQ
File format/medium used for my source: Spotify over iPhone
Music genre: Varied, but a little more rock.
Budget: RM3k
Setup type preferences: Looking to replace HU with one with reverse cam but also able to stream music from iPhone. I want to retain use of the steering controls. HU will be upgraded first, speakers later. Will not be using an amp hence the HU needs to have a decent onboard amp.

- Your ride
myvi EZ

- Prefer SQ/SPL/SQL (SQ being sound quality, SPL being sound pressure level, and lastly SQL being a mix of both SQ/SPL)
punchy and clear bass like vios and city

- File format/medium used in your source (flac, mp3 or ipod/CD/USB etc)
USB port

- Genre of music you listen to (classical, jazz, metal, etc)
pop, dance, modern rock and R&B

- Setup type preferences (3 way, 2 way, active or passive etc)
exactly same with stock set up. if possible could i just change the 2 front speaker into a better 1 with better bass? i dont mind spending abit more to install a smaller speaker as long it does have the quality

- Other requirements (if any)
simple setup. budget less than 500-600. basically i would like to change the player with the speaker. that simple. as you all know the quality of myvi stock speaker.....

What you want to do : change speakers and HU.

I would suggest to add in also active sub.

But with your budget, suggest to change 4" component set first and see how it goes.

Your myvi is first gen?

- My ride: Myvi SE 2014 1.3 (the one handbrake on dashboard)
- Prefers SQ/SPL/SQL: SQL? (not sure if i got the definition right, will head down requirements later)
- File format/medium used for my source: TuneInRadio Bluetooth
- Music genre: Anime Song / Current Year Music / Sometimes Lite FM
- Budget: RM1000
- Setup type preferences: Not sure what preference currently, more details given below.
- Other requirements (if any): I have to say i;m not a big expert on cars, i'm not too sure what i should take note of actually. Currently in my house, my desktop speaker is using Edifier HCS 2330, i really love the clarity of the audio, however if the bass could be pumped up slightly higher it'll be great. I definitely prefer having a great bass for the car as when i go to work and jam, at least I'll be happy about my audio. Currently my audio is acceptable, but the bass is nowhere to be seen which makes the song a whole lot worse. My car is still under warranty, Is it possible to upgrade the speakers without voiding any other warranty for Perodua Myvi? *Concerned driver here* other than that, i dont have much preference on the brand aside from having a great beat and clarity. Normally i just use my phone and bluetooth the entire thing to my radio and play the online radio while driving. *Currently using HTC One M7 if it matters*

Cheers!

i think for ur budget, get a good 4" coaxial and an active sub will be good...

if u plan for future upgrade, then now u can get a decent component + install.....later on add in amp and sub...

but will it void any of the perodua's myvi warranty? I'm only afraid it kills off all warranty aside from the speakers.
and normally how long does the installation take? few hours?

My ride: Persona Elegance 2012

Prefers SQ/SPL/SQL: SQ but little high preassure/bass will be nice.

File format/medium used for my source: Mostly through Spotify on iPhone.

Music genre: Varied, mostly alternative rock and classic song.

Budget: RM1000 - 1500

Setup type preferences:

Other requirements (if any): I would prefer to change headunit first to anything that have touchscreen lcd around 6.1" and support iPhone usb . Any brand or particular model that you guys recommend?
( Prefer headunit that directly support iPhone and bypass DAC)

Then maybe going for nice front speaker since Persona doesn't equipped with front speaker.
If the budget allowed maybe an amplifier or a subwoofer.lol.

Thank you guys. smile.gif smile.gif

With the budget you have, you have more option on the speakers.

Also to add into your boom boom, you can add in a underseat subwoofer.

a lot of people think that those oem upgrade spk from japan is good..but just fyi, those item are free upgrade if u buy car from japan...so do u think something free will be good? maybe u can get half cut spk at half cut shop for 2-300..but again, dun compare new speaker than installed in ur fren's car for that price....you gonna regret..

since ur budget is quite healthy, you should get something better...and flexible to upgrade to.....
