Bro, you still keep this hobby ka? Me oledi retired long2 time ago... hee hee.. Alpine & Pioneer could be more than Rm3k.. Kenwood got variety model, price not sure... follow the link, just click HDMI Adapter cable to check which model got HDMI input.. for info KCA-MH100 for Android & KCA-HD100 for Apple...

oh those are for mirroring. I'm talking about input from a HDMI source like a DVD player or Google Chromecast.

I'm still in the hobby but moving away from the traditional setup. Mine's running off the music from my Phone.

Good day sifus! Newbie here, I'm right now on a journey of adding an amp and an EQ into my Myvi SE 1.5. (Yes, I've read the terminology and EQ is best to be avoided but due to stock HU does not allow tuning of bass and etc. I have no choice but to add this).

Right now the Vi is running on below:

Alpine SPS - 410 (RMS @ 45 Watts, Impedence 4 Ohm)
Pioneer TS - D1602R (RMS @ 60 Watts, Impedence 4 Ohm)

So right now I'm in huge dilemma on selecting the 'right' amp to do the work as I only knows that the RMS of amp and RMS of speaker should range between 1:15 ratio power and nothing more than that, any sifus can help to recommend an amp? What about EQ, what should I look for?

I'm looking at around 400+- to spend on amp, EQ wise another 100+ I guess. Please help! notworthy.gif

Anyone using a USB HU to play Spotify (iOS) via the USB only? Is this even possible or does AUX cable kung fu have to come out?

Got the budget? I've been in a Camry that uses ipad Spotify as main source of music.

Ipad--> Apple TV--> Alpine processor --> Amps --> Speakers

Bypass the HU altogether and from Apple TV to processor using optical. Ipad to Apple TV using quite low loss or almost no loss connectivity.

I'm going to be testing a slight variation of this setup minus the Apple TV because that has a 2 minute bootup time.

Budget is low as possible tongue.gif I'm using my mothers car for the next month (or two) while I replace my own car... so no point spending here... I already have a BT HU in mind for my own wheels when I get them.

Not really interested in multiple pieces of hardware just to get Spotify working. I'm looking for iPhone -> USB -> HU -> speakers. Our resident expert howiechoo has recommended the Blaupunkt 130 but can't confirm that the setup I'm interested in will work... that's why I'm asking here in case anyone has tested before.

Hi All, i'm new with Elantra. Love the ride but not the sounds.
I'm fine with the 1.6 HU (not touch screen) with steering control, but just want to have a better sound all around.

i have a Sony Xplod 6.5" 2way Coaxial (from my previours car) wanted install to the rear door panel in Elantra then front add a new Component set. Will the sound this appropriate?

i just need a little bass (not the heavy bass listener but prefer more on clarity).

So hope you can comment if install 2way Coaxial at back door and component set for front speaker and tweeter any good?

thanks.
