Hi Jovenne,
I am considering to install UniFi but have headache figuring the installation of the cable.
House set up:
Ground floor: Living room -> Kitchen, Bathroom, Room -> Extended Kitchen
Top floor: Living room/space with high wall -> Room, Bathroom, Room
Top floor have very high wall at the living room/space where drilling for the cable entry is possible
The green box is at the back lane, I saw my neighbor's cable pull up to top floor.
So my question / fear / factor is how much will it
cost to pull cable? They have to go up to top floor, over the roof of bedroom, drill hole at living room/space high wall.
If you can help me with this, I'm all go for UniFi immediately.
Dear Orangutan,
First of all, I am so sorry for my late reply.
Back to your question, unifi installation is free for the 1st 15m (white cable) from the FTB (white colour box which installed outside your house) to the place you setup your modem. For non-standard installation like Over-ceiling (black cable) will costs you RM170 for the First 30m and additional per metre is RM2

IF you go for standard installation, black cable is all for free no matter how long it is.
So in your case, it is depending on you to opt for standard or non-standard as Contractor can drill from the wall instead of go overceiling

and it is also depends on where u decided to place your modem. Up or downstair.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Jovenne
