Everyone are welcome to add some good/essential *working* plugin in here too.
1) Lossless audio plugin
This is the main reason i install Winamp because Windows Media Player doesn't offer mush capability to support additional media format.
A good things of Winamp lossless audio plugin is most of them are free to download. Links are provided for them
a) TTA plugin
homepage
click to download
*Quoted from readme file*
1. Copy the file in_tta.dll out of your Winamp Plugins directory
(usually C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins).
2. Start Winamp.
3. Play TTA files and enjoy highest quality sound.
b) TAK plugin
Download link
After download the TAK plugin, click on the "Winamp" folder and do the followings:
*Quoted from readme file*
1. Close Winamp (if running).
2. Copy the file "in_tak.dll" into the Plugins folder of your Winamp installation.
3. Start Winamp, open it's configuration dialog and associate the file extension "tak" with Winamp.
c) CUE plugin
CuePlayer057c.zip ( 155.88k )
Number of downloads: 9747This plugin will allow Winamp to recognize CUE file which is normally associated with lossless audio such as APE, TTA and BIN (CD image file)
It can be describe as song index of the audio file with the same name. (IE: XXX.ape and XXX.cue)
Installation:
double click on the zip file and copy both gen_cue.dll and in_cue.dll into C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins (windows XP) or
C:\Program Files(x86)\Winamp\Plugins (Windows XP or windows 7 64-bit)
*notes: This plugin cannot shows non-alphabet words properly if they are not encoded under ANSI format, although the cue file still playable.
You might see some weird title like shown in picture:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
The title 153 ~ 161 and 162 ~ 170 are from the same cue file. The upper part is from CUE file encoded in UTF format and shown some funny characters, while the bottom part is the same CUE file encoded with ANSI format which correctly shows the title characters.
To convert the cue file into ANSI format, simple open it in notepad and "Save As >>>> Format: ANSI". Do backup your CUE file just in case.
