i think they are using emoji.
does android have any app to read it?

probably some unsupported characters. i suspect iphone emojis

try gosms, they have built in emojis. but i doubt other phones can see it unless they have gosms installed also

Why you guys are still using the BUGGY AOKP Build 30?
Build 31 is WAY smoother and LESS BUGGY.

Those who're using AOKP ROM and using the STOCK THEME which come with AOKP, it's RECOMMENDED to flash this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1590491
It's a FIX which solve all those UGLY GRAPHIC USER INTERFACE in some parts.
It does fix the Color Gradient in System Settings and some other parts too(which is jagged like mad).

I already inform this FIX should be merged/applied into any other ROMs(AOKP, Liquid Smooth, Gummy, etc).
Hope they'll notice about this. 
It's crucial, we have Super AMOLED HD, yet using UGLY COLORS AND GRAPHICS. LOL!

I always untick the option to 'Restore apps with Google' or something like that whenever I login into Google account (the first thing that you do after flashing new ROM). Then go to Settings > Backup & Reset > untick the option to Automatic Restore. Then only open Market, use Titanium to restore missing apps etc

usually digi will just throttle the speed.. are u sure u exceed quota? cause if not maybe it's the digi network.. they're doing mass upgrade now.. LTE on the way

im staying with i9250-uglc for now, so far the best readings for wifi n 2g signal rates
not yet tested for 3g rates.

im from
dom1a1- when im out doing heavy surfing (bad wifi at home)
xxkk6- when im doing wifi n surfing (most time activated)
xxla2- i found it horrible (duno y userers say great)
uglc1- i found it great at home wifi n surfing, compared to xxkk6 (will test outdoors soon)
I know i change basebands whereever i go but faster speeds calls for a quick change.
