So as a reward for my exam marks , I got my hands on MW2 for steam as aIW shut down

However, it simply refuses to work. It shows 0/0 players in playlists and takes forever to find a match. If i'm lucky, 30 mins can merge my lobby with some others. I dunno whether I'm doing something wrong because I've never played a steam online game b4, so yeah.

I'm sure I'm not the only one with steam MW2 here, so can anyone else with it tell me if they have the same problem? Also, I've seen that this is kinda often, like one every 2 years, but usually resolved over the weekend. It's been over 2 weeks now (if I'm right) and no official fix has been released.

I've contacted steam and they said this is activisions problem, but I don't see how i can contact activision. Apparently, people all over the world are having this problem, not in any specific region. Or are there really that little people on MW2?

You're a Call of Duty player, you should know that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is the latest installment of the Modern Warfare series. Anyway, I dont think you can sell your MW2 as it is tied to your account. But if Im not mistaken, MW2 multiplayer still has around 10, 000 players playing at night, not sure about the Malaysian players though. Yea, apparently its a bug that steam n activision has done nothing about. I've messaged support in steam n they're pointing it at activision, and vice versa. Who knows when this crapload of shit will solve.

With 10,000 people, you wouldn't have to wait 10 mins to get a TDM match would you?
