Just test drove the Elantra in Citta Mall. Overall the 1.8 is a better recommendation than the 1.6. Despite that, the pricing may hampered SD efforts to make this car a runaway success like the Forte.

After my brief test drive on both 1.6 n 1.8, here my verdict. I found it hard to recommend the 1.6 but found the 1.8 is much a pleasant car. The 1.6 is kinda underpowered when in low revs and the steering is too light. The 1.8 is more lively and the steering feel is just tad right. Not too light and gives good feedback to the driver.Interior quality is brilliant for this car!
Handling is great for a C segment car. But for 111k for a 1.8cc car is not that bad, but somehow felt it should be cheaper seeing how Forte 2.0 priced well in the same segment. Equipment wise is good but i somehow felt rather trade the GPS for extra 2 more side air bags. 4/5 for the 1.8 while 3/5 for the 1.6. This post has been edited by HanzoRacing: Mar 30 2012, 10:41 PM |
