Where did the rain sensor located? Will darker tint kacau the sensor?
*
Probably will, it's located above the rear view mirror. So have your tint technician cut around it, same for the autolight sensor.

I seen the car catalog, by far the best quality catalog so far from Hyundai. Sadly dealers are not allowed to take them yet sad.gif

Hyundai's automatic is programmed for smooth driving style, that's how I am able to drive the 6 speed cars without any shift shock and a 'ridiculous' fuel economy that many claims is impossible to get.

If you really want the 'performance' pick up, go into semi auto mode and go higher in the rev, I'd avoid you on the road if you drive your car like how many customer does in test drive. Seriously, how often you rev till close to red line?

There are a few kind of Hyundai doubters out there

The first kind is the previous bad experience doubter, which is willing to take another Hyundai as long as the old problem has been rectified.

The second kind is the doubter with a curious mind why is Hyundai doing so well compared to last time.

The third kind and sadly the biggest majority kind, is the kind that are defensive about their POV against Hyundai, and will never agree to any clear strong point in a Hyundai car.

Easy deals from the first kind are usually people who thinks it's about to time to trade in their Getz, Matrix or their 'first' car without much complaint.

For the second kind of doubters, I suggest you come and take a look at the car in the metal, Hyundai cars aren't photogenic, Sonata look horrid in photograph.

From my experience, the third kind can never be converted, might as well focus our attention to the first 2 kind where the bulk of our sales come from.

Selling 4 Elantra per month won't be hard, after all, I can sell 'overpriced LM and YF' just to about anyone monthly. 4-5 cars' commission is more than what some people's basic salary is working in some company for years. biggrin.gif

Why not try working in car sales a month and rethink what you assumed? Or take on a car dealership and try to juggle around with a narrow dealer margin? smile.gif

My showroom has been understaffed since opening 4 years ago, because many comes and go thinking selling 2-3 cars per month can become overnight millionaire, once they realize it's not true, they run away after working 3 months. You think those free tinting, full tank, smart tags, higher trade in price magically manifest themselves out of thin air? BTW, there are cars that I only earn RM100 commission, for the sake of hitting company's target, I had 3 such 'target hitting' sale in March and for that three, I only earned RM600 selling a Sonata and 2 Tucson.

I live a simple life, unlike many Malaysians. My expenses planning of about RM1,000 per month still I have extra to spend on my gf. smile.gif

Some people are not willing to pay 100-200 more monthly for a car they like, but willing to pay 400-500 more monthly for a standard-spec Japanese car laugh.gif

problem is how do you get the rim to look like the others???  unless you don't mind yur 17" spare rim look different.  i don't think SD will put in a 5th rim into the spare for you.

The only option i am told now is the skirting.
*
Can always ask service center whether they can help you order one. It won't make sense there's no 'spare' rims(pun intended). If not how those with damaged rim going to get back the same design rims?

It's another problem whether the well is deep enough to fit a full size spare tyre.

huh ? cut around it will make the tint look cacat or not ?

u mean autolight sensor also located at the same place as rain sensor ?

seems like i have to drop my super dark tint dream liao.
*
Tinting don't adhere well to the black borders of a windscreen, the part near the rear view mirror has like a protruding border so the tint technician will cut a piece to go around it.

Light sensors are small diodes anyway, so even if you cut a small hole around the tint to compensate, it won't leave a gap that's overly offending.

This might be what happen if you have tinting interfering with autolight sensor. Tested on a Starex. Windscreen cannot put tint that is too dark anyway, JPJ not approve laugh.gif

Bro i think u need to start selling perodua cars. Lower comm but high volume.. hyundai low comm, low volume.. how lah?
Cuz jap car might be more exp in the beginning but over the span of 5 years its cheaper n easier to maintain. Dont be penny wise pound foolish
*
On average, Perodua showrooms has at least 10-20 SAs, assuming 40 Myvis per month, the average is 2 car per SA, and the SAs there aren't as kind as you think they are. I am not willing to play the Hunger Games.

I would love to see a comparison between Camry/Accord service schedule vs the Sonata to have this verified. Genuine parts, genuine service center.

1600 booking so far, majority is 1.8L Premium.

People rushed and waited around the parking lot as the Elantra come down from the trailer. I've never sat down ever since till 8:30pm.

So critics, what say you? And tomorrow is the last day to get a free watch from SD. Plus first batch is running out fast.

the 1.8 come with the same rim design with 1.6?

i saw one like sport edition...quite cool in the showroom today....

what do u guys mean no auto lock?
*
Auto lock meaning whenever the car reaches certain speed, the central locking locks itself, or by pushing the brake it'll lock.

Anyone tried the autolight with escort function btw?

So bro C, confirmed no auto lock? I tried Eco mode on/off but can't feel the difference. I only know 1.6 damn sluggish.
*
Today I got no chance to explore the car at all. Customer chain combo and most of my in car experience comes from the 1.8 rclxub.gif

Sluggishness takes a while to get used to, cause the automatic is programmed for smooth and fuel efficient driving that's why there's a slight hesitation when you floor the pedal suddenly. Use the semi-shifter if you want to see how far you can push any Hyundai's model.

Free watch is for all dealers, as long as you're the first 2000 booking.

I don't even know what's the point of placing the RM500 booking fees the last couple months. If say someone (no booking or whatsoever), went on Saturday, test drive, and placed order. And me, who placed RM500 booking few months back went the following week for test drive and placed order. Who will get the car first?
*
Your SA got enter your name into the system or not 3 weeks ago? If got you're entitled to the watch.

QUOTE(caddilac @ Mar 31 2012, 10:31 PM)
Normally when will get the watch? Coz I booked last July and paid my deposit before CNY but i didn't get it also sad.gif
*
SD isn't silly smile.gif Of course when get car that time only can redeem the watch.

n Spec different between 1.6 Auto Std and HS are only the ESP and steering? Worth the 5k?
*
Leather different color as well according to the brochure. Grey for standard spec. Among other things you won't get alloy pedals, supervision cluster, telescopic steering and 2 speaker less. I feel 5k is worth converting to high-spec.

There is a button behind the boot to open, it has proximity sensor and can only be unlocked with a key nearby.

The keyless remote has a boot unlock button as well.
