The cable from Hyundai simply merge the USB & 3.5mm audio jack to the iPod dock port to have charge + line out.

Only 1.8 have the white cable, clearly stated on spec. I believe it link direct to HU. Hence the awkward placement. Other model have to rely on the USB & Audio jack near the siggy port.
