a curious question : since i haven't saw the 1.6StandardSpec yet, does the front grill (chrome) differ from the 1.6HighSpec?
HS and SS diff 5000, is it worth? apart from the VSM braking system, what are the other differences? saw many brochures.. all give partial comparisons only. if 5k only for supervision cluster, leather steering, VSM, then i think the 5000 can do so much more for ICE in the workshops outside. anyone can enlighten? QUOTE(ivn79 @ Apr 14 2012, 03:42 PM) Imho, I think better buy HS, 5k different by installment (unless cash buying) won't able to see different. The main feature different are the vsm & esp, its safety features that may help most of us... Unless drive like hell, then the best safety feature oso no use. I did ask sa b4 the chrome is only applicable to 1.8.... Haizzz QUOTE(caddilac @ Apr 14 2012, 03:44 PM) Depends on individual view on safety. For me VSM alone worth more than 5k edi. In Altis you need to pay 10k to get VSC from E to G so I consider the HS to be a bargain Hmm okay.. So basically the chrome grill is only for 1.8? Anyone tried the vsm esp ?QUOTE(kangwoo @ Apr 14 2012, 04:03 PM) 3people inside...still ok...obviously better than proton. power still ok...mayb of 5people=400kg becomes underpower Try to get more freebies, can get more geh1.8 mayb because of the sunroof, my head nearly reach the top luckily the seat adjustable but then hard to see front no discount just free ordinary tinted, hamper change the logo rm50 for 112k still ok la but hope the 1.8 price can lower same with city 90k |

QUOTE(mostwanted82 @ Apr 14 2012, 05:15 PM) hmm, SA told me 4 speakers only. the 2 smaller "speakers" on the front doors are "twitters" not consider speakers. Yes you are right Correct me if i'm wrong. QUOTE(kangwoo @ Apr 14 2012, 05:56 PM) i went to mine near puchong.. maybe a bit far for youQUOTE(coral35 @ Apr 14 2012, 06:11 PM) I think better to buy ur self a house first b4 loaded with car loan... Nowadays house price is crazy.. So without any commitment at the moment ur house loan margin is bigger... yes, but make sure you get a safe and good car too. saving money is one thing, making it last (due to safety) is another thing QUOTE(kekura @ Apr 14 2012, 06:28 PM) first 3 only labour fee waived QUOTE(stevenycs @ Apr 14 2012, 06:38 PM) I had the same thought as u had now previously. I ha booked thr Std version as I thought I don't need the extra features. Then I asked my banker friend. According to him, additional 5K in loan amount is t that substantial. Unless its more than 10K. Cause the payment differs less than 100. So the banker won't see any much diff. So I have upgraded to HS n my loan was approved QUOTE(kangwoo @ Apr 14 2012, 06:48 PM) wish can get price discount electric steering = will loosen up when you driving low speeds, tightens up automatically when you go above 80. that way you have better control of your driveanyway what is advantage/different electric stering with autopower stering(drive)? QUOTE(FluidicSculpture @ Apr 14 2012, 11:15 PM) The easy way to explain VSM. hmm.. yes that is true lol. i do overtake sometimes / speeding on a lane with a puddle water things can get quite scary at times. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « If you want real life situation where VSM can help, just remember the last time you ran your car through a puddle of water on the highway overtaking lane. With VSM you won't veer off if that happen. again, anyone can get confirm if HS got 2T+4S and SS only got 4S? T=tweeter S=speaker |

QUOTE(stevenycs @ Apr 16 2012, 10:25 AM) Supervision Cluster are the information or setting that you can change within the odo-meter. this is interesting.. care to explain more on (1) and also.. what's triple blink? Currently there are two features which differentiate the 1.8/16HS with the 1.6STD 1) changing the way to unlock your car (i.e gear push to Park, engine off or manual) 2) turning the triple blink turn light ON/OFF. oh and on a separate note.. . i am really super confused now. I went to the seremban hyundai yesterday and sat in the 1.6HS/GLS. How come the armrest area is hard? I thought it's supposed to be leather? (soft and really soft) By hard i mean it's a plastic armrest , just like the dashboard material! So i went to the back and check, it's really written "1.6GLS" and it comes with supervision cluster+2T4S. Are there different stocks of 1.6HS and 1.6SS provided to different branches?? Why I am saying this is because the other day i went to Hyundai Puchong and... 1.6GLS comes with a leather armrest.. This post has been edited by jusjus88: Apr 16 2012, 11:05 AM |

QUOTE(kwchan_7 @ Apr 16 2012, 11:11 AM) I test drive the 1.6HS and the arm rest is leather and able to slide out.. Check with SA told me that the std version cannot slide out.. I'm checking in Ipoh branch by the way by leather you mean it's coated with the soft spongy leather right? QUOTE(adrianocy @ Apr 16 2012, 11:12 AM) forgotten name , you from sban also? |

QUOTE(kwchan_7 @ Apr 16 2012, 11:20 AM) hmm okay.. at least you can see the sticthes right? the one i tested was totally hard.. like the dashboard materialQUOTE(OperaGhost @ Apr 16 2012, 11:23 AM) Ya, where's the show unit in sban? Wanted to bring my parents to check out the car. Thought the closest is at jalan mantin which is too far for me frm Rasah Jaya that's the only Hyundai in Seremban.. they're friendly la, but still not really convincing enough. lol all agents giving different views and answersQUOTE(ihatemyguts @ Apr 16 2012, 11:29 AM) Just checked with the dealer back home. He's able to give a good offer, and the red 1.6 HS is available atm. Fingers crossed guys |

QUOTE(stevenycs @ Apr 16 2012, 12:03 PM) By standard the car will only unlock when you off the engine. But with the supervisor cluster you have the additional option to choose whether to unlock manually or when you shift the gear into park. hmmm somewhat i think HS has more fancy features For triple blink it's when you gently push the signal up/down once (for turning left/right) and by default it will blink 3 times. U can toggle off or on for this. As I heard this triple blink is taken from conti cars feature. QUOTE(WieBoy @ Apr 16 2012, 12:04 PM) With the condition, if they upgrade 6airbags, bluetooth and voice control, auto fold mirror, i straight cancel booking for 1st batch. lol QUOTE(30katz @ Apr 16 2012, 12:10 PM) this car seems receive good response. 2nd value is still TBC, because this car is still new. and furthermore, i would say it's a huge jump from the previous Hyundai/Kia/korean car "perceptions".How abt it second value ? anybody have any idea? Hyundai normally dont get good resale value . |
