Only bro fluid can answer, maybe he need to check with the management, b4 confirmed it! Hope for it thumbup.gif

i wonder how sluggish is the car performing, really that bad? For me i wont be expecting much bcuz, this engine is 100% not par with Ivtec or Mivec!!

But at least better than sylphy and altis 1.8, rite? Any test driver enlighten me?

Was among the first 10 to test drive the only unit available in Kuching. They had only the 1.6 High Spec. I went to the showroom with pretty high expectations due to the sheer amount of publicity and knowing that this car won so many awards in US and some other countries. Left the showroom bloody disappointed.

What really spoilt the driving experience was the lack of torque at low end rpm. Power only comes in at higher rpm. However, when I returned to the showroom only I noticed that it was in Eco mode. Now i wonder how different it would be if the ECO mode was disabled. However, as many forumers have concluded, the 1.6's acceleration is truly sluggish.

The Forte 1.6SX 6 speed provides a much livelier acceleration. With the price of the elantra 1.6HS equalling the Forte 2.0SX, I cannot see how I can recommend this car. The only aspect which the Elantra is better than the Kia is the Aesthetics (Outward appearance).

Can we actually seperate into 2 teams,

Team A test drive Forte 2.0, Team B test drive 1.8 Nu Engine.

Fully loaded 5pax! Try to speed in the same highway.

Mark down all the time 0-100km/h in sec!

I think 3 sessions r enuf to finalize our 50/50 thinking : forte 2.0 better or the impossible 1.8 Nu.

Only A suggestion!

My colleague bought the 6 speed 1.6SX Forte. The acceleration was miles better than the 1.6 Elantra even with 5 adults on the car. Even the owner of a 2.0GT Lancer agreed to this. You drove the old 4-speed forte?

Hyundai's automatic is programmed for smooth driving style, that's how I am able to drive the 6 speed cars without any shift shock and a 'ridiculous' fuel economy that many claims is impossible to get.

If you really want the 'performance' pick up, go into semi auto mode and go higher in the rev, I'd avoid you on the road if you drive your car like how many customer does in test drive. Seriously, how often you rev till close to red line?

So who is confirm getting wor? Looks like most is siding to 1.8.
Was told the spare tyre is not the full-size one, can confirm? Can the space house a full-size tyre if we put in?

I'm still considering, but if get, definitely will get rid the inokom logo... Maybe this:

the Forte 2.0SX ler.... nothing beats this car in terms of value...

Is rumoured that P3-21A (a.k.a. Proton Preve??) launching delayed due to some issues with the CFE engine. Some Exora CFE owners have complained (you can find youtube videos on this) of strange noises from the engine. Proton did so much publicity for this car, and yet not able to deliver as to what they promise. I would not dare to touch this car until at least one year later.

Just days after the Power of One event started, an Exora exploded 4 times in a small town in Sabah (Kota Maludu), killing its owner. Couldn't confirm if it was a CFE or not. I have seen several burnt Saga BLMs as well on the road. Now u tell me if u dare to buy and drive the CFE car?
