QUOTE(Cavino @ Apr 3 2012, 04:19 PM)
Haha...no need ferarri, a lot of cars in the same range accelerate better than PE liao...

btw. I've a friend driving the 6 speed forte 1.6 ex and my neighbour driving 2.0sx.

Full spec SX definitely is much more worth it then the feature lacking ex. 1.6 quite powerful liao with the revised 6 speed gear ratio. However IMO, it still has a.....mmm...underpower feel, much better than the 4 speed version tho. Have you try 2.0, its torque is way better although price also goes up over 12K.

Just like the Civic 1.8 underpower feel, Civic should be driven in 2.0 engine just like Forte 2.0 engine. However if you have not really try out the 2.0, actually Forte 6 speed 1.6 is quite good liao.

Build quality is good with extra padding but after a year or so, noise also will start appearing...better than PE tho....before arrive my hand also got sound liao.
*
But i feel after driving the Forte 2.0 and the Koup, the engine noise seems to be higher than PE and the tire well insulation doesnt seems to be as good as my bitumen sprayed PE too.. But Power wise definitely better in pickup..

Then go buy helicopter la... fast and no jam can go anywhere u want. kns.. compare compare.. got money to buy whatever car u want within budget then compare nvm... always compare but never buy , ppl give answer and opinion yet again compare with another car  doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif
*
I totally agree on this part..

QUOTE(samwongjyhhorng @ Apr 3 2012, 05:05 PM)
Ya,i knw cant compare  wit pe..but since i wan upgrade from pe,sure i need to compare lo..but juz unknownhammie always want korek issue to shoot lo.he oledi around 2 week like tat liao..tats why cause alot keyboard warrior wit our member.hehe..maybe he salah makan ubat liao.hehe..anyway,i juz plan discuss wit u all.since its not welcome at here,so i wil stop at here..
*
No its not that.. U are going around and asking what car is the best.. But have u even thought of how much would you lose when u trade in ur PE now?
My car current trade in value is around 34-36k only.. Even though u have decided to buy a Forte or Inspira or Civic or whatever car, are u willing to sell off ur current car at a high lost now? I understand u are surveying for a car to upgrade.. But then when u are just blindly asking around and hvnt considered the total upgrade value of ur car, u are just walking into a dead trap. Like for me i wanted to upgrade to P3-21A, however my car trade in value is only 38k at max.. If i were to sell the car at that price then i would have to rugi a lot, have to top up more cash to settle the current car loan and have to fork out extra for downpayment also..

So when u have considered all this and still determined to change then u are welcome to bring back this car comparison topic. But to answer ur main question on is it worth to upgrade from my viewpoint, non of the cars above are worth the amount u are going to lose if u were to upgrade now since ur car is less than 2 years old.. if ur car is around 3years and above then it might make sense to upgrade... Do consider the fact that a Forte 1.6/inspira 1.8/2.0 is going to cost a lot of just a slight bump in improvements.

QUOTE(Cavino @ Apr 3 2012, 06:19 PM)
Actually I understand Sam very well. When we have family with limited budget, we cannot just say like and straight buy coz the car going to be with us for a long time. I second Sam on comparing different vehicles even drag for long time.....coz I will be in same situation if I wanna buy a better car but only limited budget. I would go ask opinion from all, then asked again opinion abt other cars later when they become available. Think a lot and do budgeting, timing, then only buy.

For my City, I research 3 months with different models, company, etc before finally settle on it....how...when I hit the 3rd month, MMC city appear and suddenly everything, timing, budget, just hit on right spot...that car lasted me 6 years liao and will keep going.

So maybe those bachelors without household budget burden (aka kids, wife, parents, household, future keeping) with limited budget just won't really get it.
*
He has a family with limited budget. So whats the point of wasting money so early to get a REPLACEMENT car? Ur case is getting a 2ND car. which is ideal since u are not going to incur replacement cost.. But when a person always butthurt on how lousy his car performance is and base on that point u want to change to a more powerful car and then come back here to nag about how the Putra Evo3 turbo can still tapau ur 2.0 Inspira and how ur Inspira 2.0 can keep up with a Camry 2.4/ Accord 2.4/ Mazda6 2.5 all then whats the point of upgrading and still butt hurting?

Good car or not ok lah.. But he wants to buy a new car to travel that 10km everytime might not sound wise.. The advantage of a 90k budget car is near to none when he travels that distance only and the occasional long distance travel to Muar. In 4-5years time most of the cars would be forced induced and it makes more sense to change to those car that time if u want better torque and pickup.

Maintenance problem.. Not enough spare parts for it.. But that diesel 2.0 somemore.. If properly done up it would be a legendary car..

If u are interested we can get the car and do it up to become a project car also.. Then go tapau all the Preve on the roads.
