same like u, i rarely pick first and usually the last one to pick my hero, the hero i usually pick is counter hero/support.
if you are playing alone, the chances of u losing a game is fairly high due lack of teamwork and other factor, but here again, i insist to stop getting a carry hero in games that u are playing solo, why u ask? lots of carry need to be babysit + need fair amount of time last hitting the creeps as compare to semi-carry hero like tinker or bat, which only need shoes and bottle to pawn. another good example of highly pick heroes these days is qop, a slow, a nuke, an aoe nuke and escape + chasing mechanism.
i dont mind having a hard carry in team, just that i think a semi is much more better rather than full-pledged carry that hitting creep while team is being chase like mad. these days, a lot of my games ends in 35 minutes. +- and that 35 minutes is not using a pushing type hero, just ganker and support.with panda introduce in games, +1 more excellent ganker that can stun, fly and whack.
Im never say semicarry is better or carry is better.
I said that they both are pivotal in high level games.
Ppl who think that carry should farm all game is just plain wrong.Competitive games, maybe, but normal games carry shouldnt have much problem participating in team fights once he got his core item up.
The idea behind a carry is compromise for higher tier items makes for a longer buffer time for farming, but sometimes lower tier items does the job just fine too.
an example would be mass wraith band nw, throw in a vit booster and build up towards manta.
you need to have enough vision and map control for your carry to participate in ganks safely, which is hard without coordination but still perfectly doable.
You'll be flamed like mad most of the time if you go that build though, cos most ppl are influenced by competitive games and they have little understanding when it comes to gpm to item relativity.
Good player will be able to discern "oh,8min pt+3 wb nw, hes fat"
Bad player would go "wtf...nw when are you making van? when are u gonna start farming for rad? gg"
Theyd rather "carry, u farm fat fat ah...we go gank.after you get high tier item we push ah..."
anyway,
I think youre very lucky that your game usually ends at 35min.I figure that the enemy must have given up/you managed to double rax every time.
My games doesnt usually end after mid rax.
