About the above RM 500 only will get taxed thing, that's not entirely true. The limit is RM 500, but how you reach that RM 500 is a different story.
I ordered some toys, which value including shipping is around RM 180 (Toy it self was valued at RM 130). But by customs standards, I have already exceeded RM 500... because
Value of item (RM 130) + Freight charges (RM 385) = RM 515
The freight charges are assigned by customs, and can vary depending on the country of origin (in my case, it was from US) This method of calculating the taxable value has been in effect since last year.

QUOTE(NasiLemakMan @ Jul 21 2012, 10:29 AM) It's is one of LEGO 'special' set for Malaysian market. It is sold way cheaper here than in the US. It's price per piece ratio around to RM 0.43. But for more cheaper, cooler, under rated set got to be this one For RM 12+ for around 500 pieces which estimate roughly RM 0.20 / piece! The new separator design is a god sent. No longer needs two separator to separate flats plus there are lots of curves and smooth flat pieces so the vehicles don't look so blocky like the other cheap 300+ piece sets. The best built is got to be the alternative blue truck in the instruction online. Just wondering, can this still be found locally? Or is it sold out already? Thinking of getting this for my niece.
