QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Apr 27 2012, 08:32 PM) So you still got your old router/wireless modem? If yes, just go into the router page (normal 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.0), search for the default password online (assuming that you never touch it before, if you know how to deal with the router, then just skip this), get into the DHCP page, disable it. Now, take a LAN cable and connect LAN port on your OLD router/modem to the one of the empty port on your NEW ROUTER (either the black one or the d-link dir-615 orange one), just plug them into any of the YELLOW PORT labelled as LANX (LAN1,2,3,...). Now you should get your wifi signal back i will try this. instead the "old" modem is the new one which is the 1043. so can i connect the LAN cable from the 615 to 1043 to get a more powerful signal given by 1043? you mean get to DHCP server settings on untick enable DHCP server?
