Hi, does anyone know if a DIR615 G2 is flashable with the DDRWT firmware? I have a friend who said he was successful doing it but when I uploaded the firmware file, it failed to flash.

What method did you use to flash? The right way is to use 'emergency room' mode.
*
Indeed it is the emergency room mode. Followed rizvanrp's guide, doesn't work & I have same router as my friend, he was successful, I am not.

Running v7.09 btw...

I'm still using the original D-Link DIR-615 from UNiFi.
I'm thinking of upgrading into WR1043ND, but after seeing so many complaints on the official WR1043ND thread, I'm not so sure anymore. sweat.gif
*
I'm not sure how much that one is but why don't you try opting for ASUS RT N13U (to me that price range router is good enough)

I believe the newer one can, but not sure about it. You may try it out, otherwise, if not then flash it with the older one.

I remember the guide given by Rizvanrp is for 7.05
*
Yeahp but in his post he also provided a 7.05B firmware, which I thought I could flash to downgrade it, which failed, too.

Hey Unifi User,

Have anybody encounter that DHCP or DNS is totally mess up ?

Here are my situation.

PC 1 connects to the web its fine.

Any wireless connection can be connected with the network however can't access the web.
PC 2 and PC 3 (connecting on Lan Port 2 & 3) can connected with the network but again can't access the web.

I'm suspecting the router have issue sweat.gif
*
PC 2 and 3 to PORT 1 and see can or not.

Tried.

PC 2 and 3 On Port 1. Does not connect to the web. Funny thing is PC 1 connect on either LAN Port 2 and 3 works on the web rclxub.gif

if all else fail might as well reset the factory default setting and will see from there.

I suspect PC 2&3 prob

Hi guys,
I have a question.
UNIFI at the place i am staying got cut off already. When i check the outstanding bills, its around 600 something (from february to april). The problem now is, the guy whose name is used to apply for it has moved to dunno where already..If i want to terminate, i would need his IC and pay termination fee 500 right? What will happen if i just leave it as it is?
Thanks a lot guys.
*
You don't need to bother. He will be the one who TM will blacklist... Unless you're trying to install Unifi at the same address, maybe that will be a problem?

I just successfully flashed my DIR-615 with DD-WRT.

Torrent full speed + upload full speed, play game = no effect unlike stock v7.09 by TMNet, stream YouTube = ping in BF3 suddenly from <20 jump to 500.

How do you register for OCC.UNIFI.MY ? I entered the Customer Name and it keeps rebounding with "Please provide the correct Customer Name". rclxub.gif

hmm.gif Something is wrong with Unifi? I do pingtest to Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, all cannot RECEIVE packets, SEND packets is fine. Cannot even play a game, it will just disconnect all the time.

Has anyone experienced something like this before?

* Your friend/family member streams YouTube/downloads a file (even if limited to 50% of your maximum bandwidth)
* Your ping in game spikes to 99999999

Mine happens when my brother streams YouTube or sister downloads some files. My ping in Battlefield will spike from 20 to 500~1000 while in Diablo 3 my ping spikes from 250~350 to 700~infinity.

doh.gif dafuq. I switched to Unifi because of this issue but I'm STILL getting this issue.

QUOTE(nohal @ May 22 2012, 03:23 PM)
Nah, thats just " tersedak " sometimes occur, tho lately happened quite a lot, due to maintenance i guess..

Fiber can support a large bandwidth, and latency of a speed of light.. so latency will likely to be independent from user throttling the DL..  Well, correct me if im wrong.

Just for thought for those who didn't know, fiber can support up to more than 1gbps, ( internet + intranet, you'll get the idea ).. http://www.vassetidatatech.com/1280/gigaspeednow.html < offering 1gbps intranet.
*
No.. the 'tersedak' thing is all the time ever since I got my unifi early this year. As long as the internet has someone connected to a download, everything will be lagging and slowed down. If direct download (assuming a 100mb file) then sometimes opening Lowyat also got high ping/delay. cry.gif

QUOTE(kimyee73 @ May 22 2012, 03:27 PM)
I have to stop torrenting when my son play his online game as has game get dc often but it happen only on certain game servers especially the popular one.
*
My case only high ping/delays... your one worse. but my other Unifi experience (in KL hostel) is not like this, that one 10 people hogging/downloading at same time no problem whatsoever... I wonder why the quality of service differ doh.gif

Anyone can answer my question? Several people answered but it didn't help.

When a family member uses the Unifi line to stream YouTube or download a file, my ping in games will spike up kaw2. WTF doh.gif but in other place when I use Unifi I don't get this problem. Why lahhh?

QUOTE(wokan @ May 25 2012, 06:15 PM)
Bro patienceGNR, when yr family member start stream movie via YouTube or downloading a big file via Torrent,
lots of bandwidth being taken as compare to when you are playing game..Typically game does not occupy much bandwidth. With that yr game suffer in this case whereby the ping and latency spike.

With no control of bandwidth allocation via the router, i afraid this will continue to happen.

Is yr Unifi 5MB / 10 MB / 20MB?
*
Thanks for your reply bro. I am aware of the bandwidth being sucked completely but I am not facing this issue in another home (hostel) in K.L with Unifi too, no alteration done to that router (in KL). It's a hostel, about 10 people uses the line at once and we have no lag issues unless someone starts PPS. There was one Sunday, hostel only left me and my friend, I was downloading torrent full speed @ 700kb/s and I asked if his game lags... he said no. hmm.gif

Using VIP5.

Using DIR-615 flashed with DD-WRT. hmm.gif

QUOTE(wokan @ May 25 2012, 10:25 PM)
Are you using std router or like bro djhenry said, he's using a TP link router which works better with Unifi?
Perhaps you might want to look into the router setting and help narrow down yr problem. Other then that, I not sure whether anybody in yr area are facing the same problem. You could check that one as well.
*
DIR615 flashed with DD-WRT, but thing is that why in KL (also DIR615) I have no issues with this lag while mine has this issue doh.gif
