There are some common ways:
1) Ensure that your device is near the router if possible. Peripherals like television and hand phones emit microwaves which can interrupt the WiFi signal strength between the router and the device.
2) Reduce your router's beacon through default gateway. This allows a better reception since your router would only send signals within a shorter range.
3) You can make your own WiFi booster as shown below. Its found to be effective. Or you can replace the antenna of your router with a higher quality one.

4) Update your router/ device network firmware(network card, etc...)

just to verify.
1. television are you refer to LCD or CRT (Cathode Ray Tube). as i knew CRT seriously generates lots of EMF & heat. well for deck phone are you refer to 2.4GHz type. how about the motorola deck?

I was generally referring to both, the CRT generates more compared to the LCD. The DECT one? Yep, since its also wireless.

4. not all firmware is compatible. like tplink 1043ND. the latest may not work with unifi. slightly older does work.
Not all may benefit from this, but its worth a try though.
