QUOTE(Great_Cookie @ Apr 19 2012, 10:51 AM) Hey people... Been lurking around this thread for the longest time but finally got my unifi installed a couple of weeks back (Rattan - would have gone through you but you don't cover Johor Best you call TM and sort this problem out. Since there is a demand in Johor, I will now also cover Johor area. Most of the speedtests look good for my package (VIP5 only). But my question was with Hypptv. I've noticed that intermitently, whilst watching, I'll get the "Satellite Icon of Death", ie, the satellite with the 'x' mark. The problem will persist for maybe a few minutes, and then (sometimes) after changing channels or waiting a while, will come back. Doesn't affect all channels at the same time either. Typical example would be the mediawall on Channel 100. I'll get the first page with nothing, but if i page down to the 2nd page, it'll be fine. Sometimes the media wall will be fine, but when I select the specific channel, the satellite icon will appear. I'm wondering whether it's a the (IPTV) STB or a problem upstream. Unifi call centre just goes thru the usual motions, and says that they might have to send a technician but bc the problem is intermittent, I don't think they'll find anything on their visit. Just wondering whether anyone else has faced this type of issue? Must be noted during the 'downtime', both VOIP and internet lines remain rock-solid (ie fine). Thanks all! |

QUOTE(amirudin920927 @ Apr 21 2012, 07:50 PM) i got problems, sometimes the speed down like craps 20kbps around 5mins,then come back to normal. wtf? is that router problem or what? coz i'm using TM router. Bro I strongly suggest you invest in the TPLink 841 or 1043QUOTE(mistralmudd @ Apr 21 2012, 07:54 PM) I got the same problem. VIP 10 but the speed max at 5mbps. Every time I email and called the Unifi support they keep ask do the speedtest :/ Any1 got any idea who can help check on this too? Already reply your PM QUOTE(amirudin920927 @ Apr 21 2012, 08:14 PM) Thanks for the intro bro. Will sort his issues out even though he didnt apply with me QUOTE(CzarXVII @ Apr 21 2012, 08:48 PM) Torrents speed depends solely on your seeders. It could be the torrent that you are downloading is not having healthy seeders therefore the slow download speed.I left house early in the morning and already finished downloading a 60GB file when last I check. Uploaded around 18GB already to other leechers Honestly, I must say. UniFi is FAST. This post has been edited by rattan: Apr 21 2012, 10:48 PM |

QUOTE(Ataraxis @ Apr 22 2012, 12:32 AM) Yup QUOTE(defaultname365 @ Apr 22 2012, 12:33 AM) Huh? You mean Admin (username) and <blank> password ? Since unifi is a cordless phone, why not just leave the phone in the main hall ? The battery can really last. No need to be in the base all the time. I charge my unifi phone 2 days once only.It took me 5 minutes... Googled for it - How to turn off Wi-Fi DIR615 and : It worked. Edit : Oh btw, thanks again rattan. Unifi was installed today, it took them over 2 hours (11am ->1.30pm). I only sent in all my details to you on Monday and Saturday same week, I have Unifi! I only have 1 gripe - - I so wish the cordless phone (?) could be placed somewhere else in the house. I didn't know it was "attached" to the Unifi unit. Everytime someone wants to make free calls, they will come into my room. I really don't want wires running out of my room into another room. Another suggestion would be, get a long RJ11 (telephone cable) that comes with the clips installed. You can buy a long one from hardware shop, get "U" clips and just install lay the cable and you can place it where ever you want. QUOTE(fazco85 @ Apr 22 2012, 01:08 AM) hi guys....i installed unifi over 2 weeks ago....and pretty satisfied with it. sure, torrent speed depends on your seeder but when plenty seeder is available, can reacy to 2.2 MBps....really satisfied. using vip 20 btw. thanks rattan for the installation....reliable and trusty guy Thank you bro for the support This post has been edited by rattan: Apr 22 2012, 02:20 AM |

QUOTE(defaultname365 @ Apr 23 2012, 07:59 PM) @rattan Thank you for your awesome work! On Friday (April 13), I asked him all the info I could about UNIFI. A quick reply later I decided to think over the weekend whether to apply or not. On Sunday night (April 15) I sent him all the info needed to submit for application. Monday morning (April 16), all application work done. Installation date was fixed on Friday (April 20). I moved it to Saturday (April 21), and on the same day, everything was fixed and working. It took 2 hours 30 minutes of installation time. TQ for the support bro. Appreciate it alot.Total time - less than 1 week after application submission to rattan, UNIFI was all set. Quick to reply and very helpful. QUOTE(jackyflc @ Apr 23 2012, 09:05 PM) Is the cap implemented already? Been having realllyyyyyyyyy bad speeds on international sites and downloads. No cap implemented. Maybe its just heavy traffic. Im getting very good speed to US, China, HK and Europe. |

QUOTE(deathbringer @ Apr 25 2012, 05:31 PM) hi all...i have a question. pls read spoiler to avoid tl;dr problems. Honestly bro, something went really wrong somewhere and I think i know what happened. I have processed so far around 400+ applications for highrise customers and 30%-40% of them have maintained their old PSTN phone number. I wish to help you, if I get involved they will tell me stay off this is not your customer and not a matter to you. Hope TM can solve your issue.» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « So my question is....why was it possible 2 months ago during installation, but not possible now? Perhaps some sifus (rattan?) here can give me a solution. Added on April 25, 2012, 8:27 pm QUOTE(sonixmedia @ Apr 25 2012, 05:00 PM) Guys, need some help or advice...I am getting more and more interested in unifi..most probably taking the VIP5 it just another RM20 from my current streamyx account. Your answers : Thanks.. Lan Now what I need to know is... 1) How good is the TV side of it?.. how many channels come with this ? I did look at hyppTV site but it does not list out what channels come with the VIP5. Refer to the link here 2) What is the quality of the TV like... is it SD or HD... 720p or 1080p? Not all channels are HD, HD format 720i and 1080i for selected channels. 3) Will there be legging? No lagging/jitter issues faced. Video playback/streaming is very smooth. 4) Are there subtitles on shows? Yes English and Bahasa 5) Any normal TV with HDMI input is good to go? Yes any TV with HDMI input will do good.
