If this is the case, it's not "Repeater". You're just using the router as extra Access Point (AP). Repeater is used to "repeat" a wireless network. This means no physical connection between Router A and Router B. For what you mentioned, yes, you need to connect LAN to LAN then disable DHCP in your second router.

Try to find the dhcp thing and disable it. Then connect the lan port on dx230 to either one yellow port on dir615. See whether it works

I thought is the modem that got lifetime warranty. D-link router also 1 year i think. Only Huawei modem (in my case the HG655a) got lifetime. I didn't check back, just based on what I remember.

On modem and router and it should be there. Unless your router disconnect PPPOE when there's no active connection.

It's annoying when someone is getting the right speed but they don't even know they're getting the right speed and keep complaining it's not XXMbps And the thing is... This question is asked numerous time in this version of Unifi thread alone.



FYI, you can get 2.5MB/s from VIP20 and 1.25MB/s from VIP10. Clear enough for you? VIP5 is just half of that of VIP10
