Greetings all sifu's and users.

Many times, my Unifi speed drops from 5mbps to almost 0.5 and such. I don't know whether it make sense but the trick I did is to change some configuration on wireless router wireless settings, whenever speed drops (like changing the channel, encryption algorithm or anything related to wireless), and my speed increases right away. LOL

Btw, need some suggestions. Speed drop is usually caused by modem, router or both?
If I were to change a router, which is the best for budget and performance?

Thanks everyone yo rclxms.gif

Asus is more costly then TPLink. If you have the extra dollar to blow why not.

Anyone experiencing a rather on off connection with Unifi 20Mbps? Had no problems until yesterday evening, when connection became seemingly unstable.

I have done the usual:
1. Restart computer and wireless dongle.
2. Restart both modem and router.

Even powered off the modem and router for several minutes to let it cool off.

Odd enough speed is not capped in anyway, its just the connectivity is an issue.
I tried downloading a torrent, one moment it can go full blast 2.5MB or more then it will drop down to 15KB or less and then back up.
Same with web browsing, opening Google one moment is super fast next it might need to be refreshed before actually loading.

I was playing Diablo 3 fine yesterday morning, but last night and today connection is between 400msec to 2000msec.

Is Unifi going under any sort of maintenance at the moment?
Ampang area here, just wondering.

this problem not exist anymore after i changed my router to tplink1043
but just yesterday and today the problem occurred again. then i saw so many ppl complain here at this forum so i guess maybe its like an overall thingy

Hi.. my hypptv remote rosak not even a month yet. Press one button other channel came out. Sometimes no one press also channel changes. I think this is not warranted.  Is it better to buy the remote outside or at TM Point? Thanks..

you can call 1300 tm to ask & c what they say 1st... if can buy or order thru tm then how much it is... if cannot or too expensive, there's always Jln Pasar

Same IP, 37msec... normally 25 or 24...
no wonder your line quality so good.. (should be one of the factor besides area right?)
*
1st few v of this thread is saying 210 is a better IP than 175
i also started wonder. bcos my DL speed is just fine when its 175
and a bit slow to "heat up" to the full speed when its 210, also, hard to get max DL >620kb/s (mine is VIP5)

unifi customer for 6months now. 2 pcs of 2.5" 1TB external hdd full tongue.gif , using laptop & wireless. cannot imagine if i have a desktop on lan cable at home..lol

tats y i've always looking for a contractor capable on this network thingy to help me to pull the cable all over again, and run conduit for the fibre optic ables. not tm's contractor pls. those that come to my house seemed like they hate their job, so i just let them do the simplest way, drill whenever they told me it will be easiest for them.

Why direct download the speed sucks balls? getting <30kbps. But torrent maxed out? -.-
*
r u getting direct download from file sharing site i.e rapidshare, netload etc?
did u notice there is a "premium" and "free"? free one usually cap by the file sharing site themselves. sweat.gif
