Repeater yes. Any wifi router will work
*
Is it? By principal it shud work. But how about the firmware? need reflashing or just plug in to one of the LAN port on the dir-615G2 router?

I want to buy a replacement for TM D-Link DIR-615 Router. Options are TP-Link TD-8960N & Asus RT-N13U-BI. I prefer iptv to work. Which one do i choose?

If this is the case, it's not "Repeater". You're just using the router as extra Access Point (AP). Repeater is used to "repeat" a wireless network. This means no physical connection between Router A and Router B. For what you mentioned, yes, you need to connect LAN to LAN then disable DHCP in your second router.

Both works

Ahh yes u r right. I use the wrong term. The P1 modem from the thrash box that he(my lil bro) keep at my house(he think my hse is his store) & i dunno what software he use to configure it. He move to London for study & there's a big chance he forget bout it  laugh.gif

Asus looks nicer rolleyes.gif But average reviews about TP-Link worth a try hmm.gif

Mediafire is always free & alway realiable. All others are shithouse especially Rapidshare is the mother of all the shithouses icon_rolleyes.gif

I'm just stating that it's not meant to be free. What I mean is just... when you're using free account, just don't complain too much la. You've already paid a lot less compared to watching them at Cinema. The free account never mean to give you max speed too  laugh.gif
*
I wasn't complaining dude. They guy who post he got problem downloading. I said to him, maybe it's not UniFi problem but "MAYBE" it's the filehosting servers on heavy load, that's all. doh.gif

What's the point complaining bout the filehosting here. The MegaUpload founder is rich beyond need maa. They make money from people who pays for speedy DL. All they did is "Hosting for piracy movie activity".They become richer as we are getting poorer.Got it smart ass? cool2.gif

True. what u think is not exactly what i have in mind. You download the movie with the premium service u paid. Yes I got it, in other word= What u paid to them wasn't meant for the movie dude.. U did not buy the movie (as ur money didn't go the productions ppl yg buat that movie) Tak masuk diorang punya poket. What u paid for is actually for the Download only. The only different between u & me is I did not pay for both ( to download movies + to the file hosting ). I get the free movie for free. U get the movie free but u pay for the availability speeding the process to acquire said movie. Klu tak support piracy, is fine with me but don't judge other people as immoral.
U got ur own stuff & i also have mine. Cool dude
Peace no war icon_rolleyes.gif

Manage to run my 1st TP-Link TD-W8960N with UniFi vdsl HG655a following Klseet guide ( god bless ya laddie). The TP-Link web GUI is a little bit buggy with some section missing like the diagnostic tab. Wired connection is a breeze for Torrenting. Wireless connection is better but pretty much the same. IPTV no problem at all, been running it now for 2:39 hours. rclxms.gif

Default gateway is : 210.195.239.2X4 ( change everytime reboot eventhough i set it to follow PPOE )
PPOE on WAN port is : 210.195.235.2x0

Speedtest detect IP as on the PPOE & it says LATENCY ERROR

hi,

anyone watching iptv experience something like signal distortion..part of the screen will have noise showing like those old analog tv where u lose signal..

its not permanent, but keep flicking once intermittently sweat.gif

wonder if the setop box overheat or is hdmi cable issue??
*
from my opinion, that's normal.IPTV takes time to display. It happens everytime i change the channel

no wor..it happens even if u keep watching the channel.. as long as u watch the IPTV... not went u change channel.

Did u use the supplied HDMI cable? I use astro HDMI cable but the the picture no so nice with some pixel breaks.I changed back to the TM supplied cable & it's fine.If all the cables & TV settings are fine, then i suspect it must be the network. I'm noob too, perhaps more eligible ppl shud help u. They have been quite quiet today whistling.gif

anyone know how to set priority for iptv vlan 600 connected to vdsl2 HG655a? I set internet & iptv at =0 but everytime i switch my equipment on, the STB have to be rebooted twice to get it connected. Using TD-W8960N. Apart from that everything is fine.

Hi,

I'm currently subscribed to UniFi5 using equipments supplied by TM. The problem I'm experiencing now is slow browsing speed (feels the same as my previous Steamyx 1Mb line) although SpeedTest tells me my connection is constantly achieving 4.5 to 4.8Mbps.
