May I know if we have the rights to ask TM to change the modem model?
Currently I'm having Alcatel Lucent (which kinda old model I think), it tends to heat up easily, and has been dropping lines quite often; and so far, I've already encountered 4 times of red light on optical indicator in just 2 weeks time.

And right now, I can't receive any call-in at all, either the modem is seriously Eff-ed up or there's an unkown issue on the optical cable, so troublesome

Did anyone experienced this previously? Please advice, thank you in advance

Hey, its been a month since Ive upgraded from Streamyx to Unifi through the superspeed me promo, so it was a surprise when the bill came and apparently they charged me the bill for two months till next month June. Wondering if everyone's got to pay the bill for first 2 months at one time?

as u missed out on the info stated by them we need to pay 2 months /1 mth extra

So 2 months/1 mth extra = I have to pay first 2 months amount for the first time am I correct?

yes pay 2 mths 1st.(since its upgrade u pay old streamyx line price for those 2 months and next 1 month with total 3 mths old bill )

If i upgrade, what about the billings? I get the free 1 month subscription for registering online . Will it be forfeited if i upgrade? Just install last week

I managed to get another remote. Guess what? Same symptom. I off and on the top box and modem. Problem solved, now I have 2 working remote . Yes very weird but the box receiver seem to have problem.

My Unifi is down since Sunday. CS say will settle within 24 hours but now still not working. Sigh.

My modem show no sign of DSL. Wonder what is wrong with it?

Maxis has got ridiculous FUP and no way TM will reduce their pricing plan. In other words, keep dreaming... hehehe

Can anyone confirm me will I get charged extra as long as I buy the cat6 cable and pull the cable over the ceiling myself from living room to my PC room? I will also buy the faceplate and keystone as well. All they do is to terminate it and fixed the faceplate onto the wall.

I am unwilling to do the termination myself as I have to buy extra tool which cost about RM 60. Buying the cable and faceplate will cost me RM 60 but not too bad compared to overall nonstandard installation cost of RM318. Please help as TM is going to come on Wednesday so I can get it done by tomorrow.

so you are saying they will still charge me full price even if they don't go above my plaster ceiling? there is already a PVC pipe under the concealed wall. It is very easy to push the cable down through the pipe from the roof to the wall socket. I tried it today. really not into paying so much for something so easy.

umm, they pull cable from TM Pole, they drilled my room, and around 1.5m of Fiber Optics, to termination point. Then another Fiber Optics that included in the modem box.. Didn't even go up the ceiling, and the UNIFI supposed to be installed in my living room. Still, they charged full price.

my agent unifi told me all $$$ has to be agreed upon before work is started. if nothing can be agreed upon, i am to call him and he will arrange other contractors for me. in your case is not good as this is considered standard installation.

During my time, all the price is fixed, and I cant agree or disagree what price they'll offer. And I'm sure no other contractor I can choose, only what TM sent to me.

I dont really care about my installation, because Fiber modem + router are in my room, air conditioned, + all PCs are in my room. Lol. So, in my case, im good enough with it.

So, need to confirm with others first, because my installation was ages ago.

ok haha how was your wait time for a contractor then? right now I think I have more bargain power because I applied on Sun and this morning they are calling me they will come over TOMORROW. I postponed to Wednesday instead as that what I listed on the form.

I thought about the Maxis 10Mpbs earlier but I scared the latency is going to very sucky as everyone on there would be heavy downloaders. Oh no I can wait a few more mins downloading at ~600kbps vs ~1.0Mbps but latency is something more important for me.
