All also good. I am using the TPLink 841.
The 1043 would be a good choice.

As your PM I have checked and yes I can get VIP package processed/installed for you as your place is a shop house. Now waiting for your confirmation as you need to discuss with your partners. Do keep me informed via PM.

Thank you biggrin.gif

Any tips on what to do during a thuderstorm? I asked them when they were installing my Unifi and they said optical fibre carries no electrical signal and it should not be a problem? hmm.gif

I am just concerned as quite a number of times in the past with my Streamyx, my surge protector had to be replaced a few times due to lightning (which means lightning did strike and the protector worked). Since then, during thunderstorm I always remove my phone wire from my modem. But what about Unifi? If power outage I have a UPS running that can last for about 5 minutes, just in time for me to turn everything off.
*
For unifi you dont need to worry. Optical fiber carries no electric signal, its true !
However your modem/router still can blow if there is a surge from the grounding. A electrical surge protector can be a help. I remember changing 3 modems in 1 year bcos of surge. However with unifi (touchwood) its going good for 1 year now. I really take care of my equipments like a baby rolleyes.gif

Heard my mum said my aunty said her friend installed Unifi, got some area got (Seriously, I don't believe, maybe they misinterpret something else as unifi...) Anyway, it's coming soon, 1~2 more years and it should roll out in many places in sarawak.

Either your router or STB kaput. However they should be coming over in 24 hours. Better call and complaint again.

today the speed quite ok dy. At least around 15mbps, but when i download torrent then it goes back to like 5mbps and my torrent download speed is around 600kb/sec only for vip20. Should have been near to 2mb/sec if i am not wrong
*
Torrent download speed can be very subjective. It also depends on how healthy is the torrent. If your torrent have many seeders and your seeders have good upload speed then you can full download at full speed. I have experience download speed up to 2.4MB. Then again it was a very healthy torrent.

Done it millions of times. Getting very random ping spikes and in most cases disconnections. No complaints from any other Unifi user here, so TM guys coming over tomorrow to see what's the problem.

It's doing better today though. At least I can surf.. yesterday I couldn't even access any page.
