Your drumbrake rosak la.

You try this test:

go 80kph on a straight.
Without slowing down, turn left 90 degrees into a road with longkang on both sides.
While turning, pull handbrake.

If you car masuk the longkang on your right, that means your handbrake rosak.
If your car masuk the longkang on your left, that means your handbrake is working.

Most brake force during drive (70% I read?) is produced by the front disc brake. Unless you reverse at 80kph, then you'll be in trouble with rear drumbrakes.

I saw someone post (MR_alien, IINM) that one of his drumbrakes is in perfect condition because it never worked  laugh.gif .
*
But my front brake press full also never lock the wheel. Unless the floor is wet then only it will lock.

Full press also the brake like not really makan at all. Sumtimes also nearly kena ppl.

But honestly i did slide my BLM few times due to wheel lock during rainy day, all of them cos by those stupid driver who suddenly come out from junction.

The most serious one should be drift at highway exit corner...normally in dry i drive 80km/h, that day wet i drive 70km/h, suddenly my rear hit little bump, the rear end lost and the car like start wanna spin...luckily manage to hold on by slightly touch the brake, else sure bang the divider...
*
Glade to hear tat u safe bro.

My next service i will try to flush all the brake fluid & change new brake fluid.

Done the front new brake pad but seems not much different. So no choice.

If flush also cannot then i really fedup joh. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Actually if u can't lock the wheel during dry, means ur tyre grip is better than ur brake force...not bad to be honest, this can reduce the risk of wheel lock during wet...so no need worry too much one...
*
I strongly believe of my Falken ZE912 wun fail me.

But when the time i using OEM tyre also never feel any jam brake also. hmm.gif

I recalled last time the brake fluid suddenly dropped til LOW level & the warning lights up. Check all the hose & rear brake also no leaking. Just curious where the h3ll all the fluid gone.

QUOTE(dares @ Apr 12 2012, 05:33 PM)
Brakes don't always immediately lock when your press it all the way, the friction between the brake pad and the disc have to overcome the momentum of the wheel first then only it will lock. This means that the wheel must slow down enough then only your brakes will lock. If you brake hard for a fraction of a second, it might not be enough to completely overcome the momentum, that's why it will not lock.

It is easier to lock on the wet road simply because on a dry road, it takes less energy for the tire to roll than to skid, that translates to less momentum loss on the wheel, hence harder to lock the wheel. On a wet road, there is no difference in between rolling and skidding, both will result in the same rate of momentum loss, hence the wheels will lock easier.

Pls ignore if too confusing  laugh.gif
*
No matter i try brake hard @ 40kmh, 50kmh or 60kmh also no jam. Even lower also talak. rclxub.gif

Full press brake but then the car still got the power to move forward n stop slowly. doh.gif

My fren tested tat day also said it not so makan. doh.gif doh.gif
