still thinks its not much related to FXO or anything but piracy and many have not try playing sc2 before or even heard of it, I think if there is a big public show and demo for the public the game will rise back, and the price is abit steep for malaysian as most of us are used to pirated dvd comparison to an original game the gap is too big for malaysians to accept it
*
Well, price is too steep. US$60 is a lot of money for it given that I hear the campaign is too short. I've been waiting for price to fall, but since it's release date it never fell.

If Blizzard really want to make money, they should try offering the title at 75% discount sale like Steam. I won't think twice if the game's only RM45, but RM180... Given that Blizzard's owned by Activision tho, Kotick is probably too greedy to even consider...

those ppl who complain the SP is short...
basically those are the ones who go jack sparrow the game
heck, even the starter edition are free now,for ALL REGIONS TOO!!

& even the game itself was only <RM160 nowadays...i bought one for my friend as a sign of congratulations & complimentary for him to continue playing sc2 (previously he only go for the 30-day prepaid card)
*
Idk, I'm only willing to buy online, and that's how much Blizzard's online download edition costs. Don't want to go to shops to buy games anymore, last time I went tro SS2 to buy a game from TSB I kena sangkut in two hour traffic jam, have problem finding parking, and nearly kena sangkut when going home because I parked my car in an area that was going to have pasar malam (seriously? pasar malam in an area with nasty congestion and parking problem? WTF is MPPJ thinking!?!).

TSB's online store is no better. Have to fax in IC to verify account first. Hello! How many people have fax machine at home!

try it....much easier i guess

Just checked. More or less same price as Blizzard online store. Maybe I'll just see if I can spare the money in a few days and buy it from Blizzard. Like the idea of instant download.

Whoo, man. 7GB. Not for downloading over Yes.

Will grab it when I get home to my UniFi line tongue.gif

Din know about starter edition or else I'd have grabbed it first. Blizzard didn't advertise it on their SC2 main page. Really bodoh of them tongue.gif

Hope Heart of the Swarm is cheaper. Cannot afford to pay RM180 second time in such short period -.-

Sumore, as I predicted, quite short. Already reach 17 of 26 missions, and I only bought the game last week!

Be sure to join the multiplayer 1v1 after u finish the skirmish!! Malaysia needs more SC2 players biggrin.gif
*
Well, tried to connect 1v1 practice league, but no players hmm.gif Mine is the NA client, because buy online...

QUOTE(melvintcs @ May 22 2012, 12:02 PM)
hots price should be cheaper? it's an expansion...
*
Hopefully. Otherwise I'll just play base game for a while.

Or hopefully, they let you have HotS first 6 campaign free like the base game. Then I can buy the expansion once I'm ready to pay for it.

you are right. SC2 really needs commitment. Thats y there are not many SC2 players in Msia biggrin.gif
*
It's definitely getting my commitment, I've even stopped playing TF2 temporarily while playing it.

I paid RM180 for it, not going to let the RM180 go to waste biggrin.gif

how is your win rates now? Everyday how many games u played? I mean 1v1 'Find Match'
*
Well, haven't tried playing online again after failing to find a match in practice league. Now trying to finish out campaign mode first. Already 21/26, so won't be long, most likely finished by weekend. Then will start playing online.

Though, I'm very noob when playing RTS online one. Last time go play SC:BW during college years, keep getting pwned by classmates.

any1 sell sc2 here?
*
Just get the starter kit from Blizzard (see other thread), and then sign up for a free Battle.Net account. That will give you the ability to play the first five campaign missions free. Then, when you're satisfied, just buy a game key from Blizzard's Battle.Net store to unlock full game, no re-download needed.

If you need DVD (the free download uses legal torrent, you're screwed if you're on Jaring BB, Digi Discover Day or Screamyx), get in contact with Djinn, he's the boss of the Gamers Hideout stores which is selling the game cheaper than other stores.

Thinking about it tho, I'm wondering why Blizzard don't just give the CD away for free and make you buy a RM180 game card with the key instead? After all, you can borrow the CD and install it (the CD installer is exactly the same one as Blizzard put on download), and it will let you play the first 5 missions for free without a key...

I'm giving up on Multiplayer. These people surely cheating.

How can they amass so much resources in so short time.

Mine keeps saying need more minerals. They already come attack with banshees... Just no way.

You start with only 50 minerals and 5 SCVs.

I have to keep pumping SCV until I have one for each mineral.

Then I have to pump money into supply depots, which is 100 minerals each

Then by the time I have two supply depots, I can only start building a barrack.

By that time opponent already has banshees.

This is not logical.

Idk lah. Still not logical, right? One supply depot can support how many unit? 9 only?

Forget it. I'm quitting. Just counted three diff ppl ganging up on me. Bringing back bad memories of my school days where I'm constantly bullied.

Excuse me. I'm going to curl up somewhere and cry now.

Yalah. I've been thinking over it, and maybe I'll go play again once in a while. Have to practice a lot and stay at the bottom rank for a long, long time...

you dont need high apm for sc2, average 100 apm can already bring u to diamond easily (need lose lot and learn if u r VERY NEW)
*
Yah. And then of course there's just players that are griefers i.e. purposely send their scv to grief you right at the start of the game.

I'm still working out how to report griefers to Actiblizz. Most likely they won't care anyway...

You know what? I think I want to give up already. I play multiplayer, all the other players are unprofessional, even going as far as sabotaging their own allies, calling new players names, and when I do them a favor by walling off the exit and give them control, they tell me to go die, and then send my SCV to attack own base.

I have a depression problem to deal with already. I don't need to deal with these kinds of a-holes to ruin my life further.

happens in NA too, a$$holes arent limited to regions
*
NA Region. Bought game wrongly, now stuck at NA only.

Now I'm asking if Blizzard can switch my account to SEA. If cannot, then maybe I'll stop playing until HotS come out.

Otoh, I just had another game. Definitely much better this time around, although to avoid the issue I immediately launch my Command Center and move it out of their way. Still lose in the end tho. Delay from moving the CC give enemy more time to build up...

SEA is worse, i have a SEA pack, i moved to NA, you are better off at NA, just get friends to team up and play team match to avoid this bullshit, or just play 1v1

SEA is almost dead, you can hardly get matchups there
*
Heheh, I see all the people I know only playing D3 now. Maybe when HotS come out they'll come back to SC2. Otoh, they're also SEA server (Australia is SEA, right?)
