Besides getting the right dots, better try to feel the parts in the blind packaging..i thought i got samurai..open up kena gorilla man instead. Was at TRU Ikano last evening, spotted the staff spending time pinching the lego minifigures pack when they are not servicing the customers.

I notice that the elves can be pitted against the orcs from the LEGO Castle series. Need a few more.

Upgrade the elves with Samurai's Katana hehehe...perhap we will see "Lord of the rings" members too :-) Currently, Legolas the Elf(Series 3) & Gimli the Dwarf (upcoming series 5).

Speaking of the samurai, does it suppose to have a crescent on its helmet? However it does have a holder which allow it to be pegged with other accessories. YOu can even peg its sword on the helmet but looks weird. tongue.gif

Many outlets have virgin cases of series 3 or even 2 kept in the storeroom. Manager said that once the outside stocks are low only then he will bring out the virgin cases. The dude at Ikano ask me "Bang, you pun mau cari elf ke? Manyak orang pun cari elf lo." biggrin.gif

Then i hope i can come accross suitable accessory to be placed on the samurai helmet. I noticed some characters offered in Minifigures series have appeared before in other playsets. And we have to collect all series to get complete catergory of theme like the chief red indian in series 3 needs his indian girl which appeared in series 1.

Series 1 was indeed shortordered...i only spotted it at TRU Empire and One U Lego fair concourse last year. And it was at One U that i the cheat sheet for the 1st time. I press press series 1 so long till supervisor at TRU Empire look at me one kind...later she and other staff oso join in the fun. biggrin.gif

I oso looking forward for more Elf characters...maybe female elf with shield and sword?

Well it could be a guy, cuz he has two ponytails. LOL...most red indian warriors looked like this. When series 1 was out no one expect thei Minifigures line was hot.

SW Super Star Destroyer! Fulamak! Sure cost a bomb cuz i have the LEGO SW Star Destroyer which was retailed at RM 799 few years back.

Pressing the packets w/o using cheat sheet is fun but take a long time to determine if those are the figures we are looking for.

Zombie from series 1...hope they offer more LEGO zombie characters.

Here is my rendition of the zombie stormtrooper as featured in the Star Wars official novel DEATH TROOPERS.

Yup im a SW kaki which started LEGO officially after getting some SW Lego sets. Now into Minifigures cuz its affordable and fun to tikam.

One thing i notice is that the white stormtrooper and snowtrooper can turn yellow overtime esp if exposed to sunlight. May have to use anti-UV solution to polish them. tongue.gif

I think even w/o sunlight also they will turn yellow. sad.gif

That is the irony of white colored parts...even not expose to sunlight, there is chance will turn yellow or should i say it is not so white as before. Luckily LEGO figures and sets are colorful.

Profiteering by TRU when they release series 2...maybe they over stocked series 3, worry cannot sell fast so retain price at RM 9.90 which is good news for us.

maybe the Rm 12.90 is to cover the lego promotion cost. Once promotion contest over, they reduce price to Rm 9.90. Just one of my assumptions.

I thought when series 2 finish, there would be no restock as informed by staff (similar like Series 1). Then following week, see new stocks but when want to picit2, staff say nice ones oreldi sold. Sometimes when there is not many customers in store, to overcome boredom the TRU staff would go picit2 the lego packets..if they do not know abt the cheat sheet. tongue.gif

Hope series 4 would come in soon.

Staff also pandai nowadays. What are the chances LEGO offer Star Wars minifigures in individual packets? Maybe would cost more.

I have a SW LEGO Encyclopedia purchased from BORDERS Bookstore at the Curve (free Luke minifigure) and the SW figures poisoned me kaw kaw.

TRU KLCC have one case of Series 2 and 3 at the cashier counter this morning. BTW their new outlet is located at 2nd flr near BATA. smile.gif

This morning got many sifus picking out the cases. Alllook very serious. blink.gif

Anyway just to let you know that those are not the only cases offered. TRU mgt foresee something so only put one case of S2 and S3 out. There are more virgin cases and they will replenish randomly into the two cases as and when they need to.

Good luck!

Early morning there were two gentlemen rushin in and start picit2 and scanning the minifigures. One tall dude and another one is plum with very short greyish hair...in their 30s. Looklike gangster so no take pic.

Shortly after the fat one left...others join in the fray.

All happily picit2 and reconfirming their scans for at least an hour.

But buying a whole case cost more and they want to avoid the hassle of selling the unpopular extras.

But fret not for other KL LEGO Minifigures collectors, there are more Series 2 and 3 and the TRU manager will replenish abit at a time to the existing cases located at cashier counter. They know if they display all the cases, the cheat sheet collectors will sapu all the nice ones. They want to buy all no stopping them but have to visit store regularly lo. rclxms.gif

LEGO Minifigures at TRU are highly controlled and monitored item. Too many have been lost in early days cuz easy to "smuggle" out.

As seen in previous lego movie theme releases, I usually see them ready for sale right around the corner when the movie is about to release. There is a 4th Pirate carribean movie rite?

By the way, has LEGO discontinued EXO Force series? Some of the robots amazed me. I only have one playset.

Here is the lego which started my small passions for LEGO.

I remember forking out RM 79.90 for this set...a year later the Snowtrooper Battle of Hoth pack costs RM 109.90! Too ex for me.

Unfortunately the lego stormtroopers are not as white as they use to be when first opened from packaging.

Here is a pic of Series 1 Minifigures. Back then it did not occurred to me which character was highly popular and sought after.

Ilfort, currently i pass on the other figures. But i like Series 1 cuz the figures that i got came with extra parts in case i loose them. Eg. space robot came with extra mechanical arm while the astronaut came with extra visor.

And i heard magician come with hair accessory in case he tired wearing the hat. smile.gif

Bro ilfort...those ORGEs from the castle series are awesome...due to lack of budget, now i regretted not getting the sets when TRU had LEGO clearance last year. sad.gif I saw at Brickboytoys that they have knights and orcs minifigures sets for sale. Good for fast army building.

I see you have ROCK Lords...this one also i seldom see on the shelves...also discointinued?
