Yeah, still got LOADS of Airports and Bionacles.

For the rest, like Technics and Ferrari sets, all almost gone.

Still got some of the bigger Exo-Force sets. Those still got alot.

complicated Lego? I love complicated lego, the more parts per square inch density the better.. the latest technic legos are really dense and complex..

eric, thanks for the blog, nice to read a local technical Lego blog (most are overseas)  , the gun is very cool..
as for the 8275, already built the dozer, yeah it took some serious hours ... (I bought 4units)  tongue.gif

so still got 5boxes of unbuilt large sets.. balance 3 dozers , 1 towtruck and 1 combine harvester, and 1 mindstorms NXT (too busy to download instructions)  biggrin.gif

Dude, you are some serious collector lor.

You need 4 sets of Bulldozer arr? U sound like you going to try to build some super large Technic robot or something

Either that, or you are fully loaded with $$, so money no problem as opposed to "Money Not Enuf" biggrin.gif

Maybe we should get together and build some stuff together.

Lego collectors and Technic builders could do something mah, not just post photos of their sets tongue.gif

I am mainly a NXT Mindstorms player.

Who wants to have a "LEGO building competition?"

haha! yeah you nearly guessed my early intentions.. the IR RC system has 8channels i..e 4 dozer sets..  biggrin.gif
wanted to build some mega technics set but realized need to gather far more technics bricks than those in dozer kit.
so went on buying spree last month to buy all sorts of technic sets and also Racer/technic series.. to gather the customized bricks... tongue.gif

It may be easier to get a few Mindstorms Resource kits. It has many useful parts lor, but still NOT complete.

Maybe you start by designing it in your LDD program, then go and purchase the missing parts off some online retailer.

Looks like you'll be building some "Autobot" tongue.gif

Hmm... I'm very interested (click my signature to see my LEGO creations) but need a few questions answered:
1) I assume for origami, the "expert" origamist needs to be there to show off his/her skills in folding ? For LEGO,  do I need to be there to "play" LEGO in front of the visitors (which I'd say is a bit... awkward!)

2) If I am not required to be there, will the event staff/volunteers take their utmost care in ensuring my creations in safe/good condition ?

3) What is the allocated "booth" size for each participant? To avoid mishandling/itchy hands, LEGO creations needs to be displayed in a transparent display case too. Do we provided any?

Fellow LEGO-ians there. Maybe we can group together and put up one ultimate exhibition for them?

Has the place been confirmed? Any updates? Location?

May want to swing by and see some of the Lowyat LEGO fan forumers tongue.gif

hmmm i can see some ppl talk about LEGO Mindstorms. If not mistake there are 2 company that sell LEGO Mindstorms in Malaysia right?

I only know one of the company call Sasbadi.

Plus some more there are alot user use LEGO Mindstorms to compete in robotic competition. I am on of robotic fan and really surprise LEGO Mindstorms also can be use.

One of the that I know call FIRST LEGO League. Any of you guys heard about it? I really hope this competition can be organize in Malaysia so we can gather all LEGO Mindstorms fan ^^v
*
Hi,
Let me clear up all the questions you have on Mindstorms. I am a big fan, but hard to locate others like me tongue.gif.

Yes Sasbadi is the SOLE distributor of LEGO Education here in Malaysia. They sell the Mindstorm NXT Education Set. They are the organiser of the FLL and NRC (National Robotics Competition). You can check my blog, as we just attended the FLL held just last week here at the National Science Center.

As for the Mindstorm NXT 2.0, it is brought in by the SOLE distributor for LEGO. If you walk in Toys R Us, Parkson, Jusco, you will see their on the shelf products. The company name is called ALJ.

If you are interested in any competition, please check out lego.sasbadi.com, as they organise both the FLL and NRC. Please note that FLL is open to all schools, while NRC is only opened to government school.

From the question you ask, I presume you dont go to government school biggrin.gif

Please feel free to PM if you are looking to other Mindstorms users here in Malaysia.

Eric

The education version of the NXT and the retail version are different (there is no instructions for alpha-rex in the education version). The education version costs more too.

FYI, the Malaysian team here won the World Robotics Olympiad in 2009

http://bricksmal.com/lego-mindstorms/world...-olympiad-2009/

Anyway, you may order your NXT 2.0 from brickbastion.com tongue.gif

Last time when i was young, Nasi Lemak with egg cost me 80 cents. Now its more than RM2.

It's called inflation smile.gif

Also, our RM drop a lot compared to other currencies during the financial crisis in 1997.

LEGO sets in Malaysia, pricing are OK with exception of Star Wars Sets.

News Update:

Check out link for the FLL 2010 that just happened at the Science Centre 2 weeks ago.

60+ teams from all over Malaysia, SRJK Davidson tapowed all the teams with their flawless robot (team to beat next year)

No doubt NXT 2.0 cheaper, but if you want to join the FLL or NRC competition, you are required to have the Education set instead... and of course still be a student to qualify tongue.gif

Anyone interested in a NXT Mindstorm League? A little competition doesnt hurt anybody biggrin.gif

Eric
