Hello,

before i can start selling, Ebay requires that I give them a credit card number so that they can charge me for their services. Is there any way that I can sort of use my debit card instead of credit card because i dont have one? I have already sync my bank with paypal but right now it doesnt give me an option to pay using debit card. any suggestions?

thanks

you can just give your debit card number. syncing your paypal with your debit card, rather than your bank account is easier though IMO.

hi i think u misunderstood me. let me try and be a little clearer.

i want to sell goods on ebay and ebay charge fees for their services (pictures, listings, etc). i have my maybank debit card sync with my paypal but I cannot choose that option to pay the fees so i can sell my goods. Instead, they ask me to fill in my credit card info (which i dont have). is there any way i can pay the fees using my debit card instead of filling up credit card info?

thanks

I understood fine smile.gif

Ebay charges the fees, but for security purposes they will charge it through credit cards/debit cards only (if I am not mistaken). E.g. if they accepted payment via Paypal, they can't get their money if your account is blocked for some reason. Even though you will be using free listings only, ebay will still require your card info.

what I tried to tell you earlier is that in matters like this, a debit card can be used in place of a credit card

GO apply for BIG card (previously know as Tune Money Card)...currently they provide free application...last time need to pay RM10. I prefer BIG card instead of PB debit card...coz easier to top up money...can even use CIMB clicks or maybank2u and other banks.

Yes, just throw in those numbers on your debit card into the Credit Card column of the form. Debit cards are just like credit cards. As long as they have Masters or Visa, you can swipe and do online purchase just as if you have a Credit Card. It is actually the same thing, just the cash flow will be different. And for that, your bank will handle it as long as you have money in the bank.
