Nop.. Its not imported.. Try to visit some older housing areas like Taman Ehsan, Sri Damansara in KL and see for yourself smile.gif

The tree for this fruit has rather small leaves and thin branches.. They're usually 6' tall..

White one is very rare as many people using them to make med.. smile.gif

I dont think its kacuk with buah naga.. Its a natural breed.. If im not mistaken, the fruit tree will bloom flower before they become fruit just like durian.. The color of the flower for the red fruit is red and the white fruit is white smile.gif

Passion fruit is rare in Malaysia indeed but not rare in foreign country.. You can find passion fruit easily at "higher" class supermarket like Jusco in Mid Valley or Isetan or Cold Storage. You just gotta look with "passion" brows.gif

I don't know, but i think the white ones is difficult to find in the shop. I think is because it's not sweet and nobody wants to buy them. I have seen some where the skin is yellowish with some patch of pink/red and the flesh is not very red. Looks to me like its not ripe yet. Is that it? (The shop owner told me it was from China). But now don't sell any more, I guess, like I said it's not sweet so no buyer.

Where are you from btw?

Im from KL biggrin.gif

The pinkish ones will actually turn red once ripe.. And like all fruits they are not sweet until they ripe smile.gif

The ones I'm looking for are totally white even after they ripe..

Yes, you're right.. The white ones are not sweet and people mainly buy them to make medicine for many illness.. smile.gif

There is your answer then..try going to those Kedai Ubat Cina or tradisional medicine shop and ask them..since chances are they may not be stocked by shops anymore?

but passion fruits are typically tropical type of fruit, they grow very well in the tropics; you can give them a try perhaps ? I hear they go very well with yogurt and vanilla ice cream.
