Hi all, Need some clarification on what fork to upgrade. Thinking of buying a second hand fox float 100mm( which is around 1.5k, i guess) , would that comparable to rock shox sid? Also, is the fork contributes much weight on the bike? Bcuz my bike feels kinda heavy. I'm running on xtc frame, deore grpset, suntour xcm, and cap ayam handlebar, seatbar and pedals. So, before upgrading, i would like to know which upgrade is more appropriate. ie: fork upgrade v carbon handle/seatbar. My usual cycle is uphill and a bit of downhill(on rocky surface mostly). Your answers is much appreciated Cheers

Wow great feedbacks guys, appreciate it.
Hmm sounds like a newer Fox would be the suggestion. Altho new sets would cost me bomb. Need some time to save for that.
Interesting suggestion about the wheelset, handle bar and seatpost. I will research more on the wheelset and QR first before continouing to ask more here. Hehe.
Thanks guys. Cheers!

Alright guys. Since my last post is about wheelsets and forks, I've decided to save up to about Rm1.6k (sufficient)to get a ztr+hope hubs wheelset.
Apart of that goal, along the way I would like to try the clipless pedals and after reading up, deore xt pedals seems recommended. So the question is will every mtb shoes be able to clip on it?
And, as seen in bbs, can I compare the prices at bbs and the shops as guideline for not be cheated by the salesman at the bike shops?
Thanks.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(kaizer @ Jun 6 2012, 06:30 PM) KSH TTDI is selling prebuild ZTR+HOPE for RM1.4k IINM. Pedal brand must match the cleats brand. If Shimano pedals, must use with Shimano cleats. If using CB pedals, must use back CB cleats lo. There's only two type of clipless ready shoes. One for road, one for MTB. Mounting hole different. BBS pricing is pretty good most of the time. Unless you're regulars to that particular shop, most of the time BBS will be cheaper. Also depending on what lah... QUOTE(majorsinbad @ Jun 6 2012, 08:56 PM) Like Kizer mentioned...the cleats need to match the pedal.... I ve used XT pedals ....so far so good...having said that ...I ve never used others... One advantage is Shimanos engagement can be adjusted....so usually I keep one feet loose in case of emergency ... But if you can get used to it ...you ll not regret it ....makes a whole lot of difference ... BBS...can either be from a genuine shop....second hand and even immitation ...I would rather compare the LBS price with online retailers like CRC, Jenson or Evans...more reliable ZTR + Hope is gooding.... ZTR + CK even more gooding! Ah, great news on the lower pricing of the wheelsets. Thanks man! Hm, sad to hear. Been looking to some specialized shoes and damn some are nice looking indeed. Will try to window shop around for shimano shoes later. Also, thanks for the tips for comparing the price. Honestly tho, I know peanuts about this bicycle components and stuff. So, good to know where I can my basis for prices to be expected for the items. Thanks again all.

Guys. Any easy method to pull out the pedals? Have this stock pedals and I want to take it out but it's really hard to turn it.
What spanar size should I use?
Problem solved. Used size 15 spanar and it works like a charm. Gonna test my clipless tomorrow morning!

My friend and I will go to Kiara tomorrow. On my last ride I only managed to do the trail near the pondok where we exit near the stables. Which trail have longer route? Cuz the previous trail is quite short.
