Honestly, the price you pay for a set of sea sucker can get you a decent bike rack.
Moreover the demo looks secure and rugged. However when you drive you can't stop every 20KM to check if the pressure has dropped?
Keep inside but when the bike is dirty after all the ride, the bike is damn dirty.

Need to check every 20km? They state this in the manual?

Not in the manual...just guess.. pressure lost over the time and especially when driving with wind resistance.
Just imagine you got to pump the pressure out when the indicator shows RED.
Speaking frome experience, I never encounter any issue using Sea Sucker (mini-bomber version). Previously I was using bike rack but sold it off after my car got scratched by the metal hook.
The pressure remain fine even after 20km ride. In fact, you can't even pull it off even the pressure is only half. You do not need to ensure the suction area is completely clean (Obviously it is better if you could). Basically I only spray the suction cup lightly with water before putting it on the car surface.
