GUIDELINES TO MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAIL ETIQUETTE
FROM VARIOUS SOURCES IN RELATION TO SHARED TRAILS AND NON BIKE SPECIFIC TRAILS
PERSONAL SAFETY -Wear a brain bucket(yes..that's a helmet) whenever you ride -Do not travel into remote areas without informing others -Ride within your capabilities.Ensure that if you want to push your limits, you buddies are around to support you. -Know your bike and bring the necessary/essential spares. -No wear helmet also can, lebih kurang like this guy only.
RIGHT OF WAY IN RELATION TO OTHERS(NON RIDERS) -Give way to non motorised trail users, i.e. hikers, horse riders, because people judge all cyclist by my actions -Give way to motorised trail users, ie. motor cross bikes etc, because generally we will end up worse off in an accident. -Alert others when approaching.Get a bell, or "Excuse me" works quite well
RIGHT OF WAY IN RELATION TO OTHER RIDERS -Riders have the right of way.If you are pushing your bike, leave the riding line open for others to go past. -Rider up hill has the right of way. -Allow faster riders to past
SPEED -Approach turns and bends in aniticipation that there's someone there -Make your presence known when approaching someone or any turns
IMPACT ON THE TRAIL -Leave the wildlife and fauna alone.Magic mushrooms are bad for you. -Stay on designated trails and avoid destroying vegetation if possible. -Dont't take short cuts over /around technical sections. If you can't ride it,walk it. -Learn how to use your front brakes so that you minimise skidding your rear wheel. If you refuse to learn, then ride only in bike parks where people are afraid to maintain the trails. -Do not litter.Take out whatever you take in. Practise minimal impact riding, take only photos and memories with you
FUN -You are to have loads of fun, talk lots of cogs, and make good friends on your ride. -Develop sense of humor. Some people say it's good for the soul. * Taken from PCC.

Probably someone can stickied similar things like this in front page so that many new comers can get some information on choosing a bike.
Here we go.
Question to ask yourself before plunging the sport of Mountain Biking
1. What kinda activity I want to join? Choices a) Ride around my taman b) Ride to school and buy groceries c) Join friends and go biking in some cross country tracks. e.g. offroad road for cars. e.g. Kelapa Sawit plantation area (where usually cars can come in but need to slow down) d) Offroad with a bit of climbing, and downhill, narrow paths (cars can't come in), a bit of drop or uneven trail e) Fast, furious downhill with jumps and extreme cornering
After choosing 1 from the above, then the next thing you need to consider...
a) Budget b) Budget c) Budget
Ha! Ha! Ha!
For Question 1) If you choose a) b) or even c) A bike ranging from RM1500 and below is acceptable. Even bike RM700 and below will still be acceptable.
For d) Try to fork out at least RM2k and above. Preferably RM4k. Anything less, you most probably will end up hating yourself for making harsh decision or you will change your bike/accessories the next round.
For e) You need RM5k minimum or preferably RM20k to start. Ha! Ha! And you need bigger balls.
Of all the above You will still need around RM100 minimum to buy helmet, gloves, water battle or hydration bag. Preferably spend RM300 minimum to get some quality goods. For info, a branded helmet will cost RM200+, a branded gloves will cost RM70 and up, a branded hydration bag wll cost around RM150 and above... usually RM200 above.
If wanna join us for weekend rides or some night rides, just let us know. We will be more than glad to assist. After you get your bike and helmet that is!

If u have not been riding MTBs before this... you won't know what u will like. Seriously! What you see and read in the internet are just professionals doing it. We might be frighten by AM/Freeride or DH videos in youtube but heck... you'd wish you can do that.
In Malaysia... this is the explanation of the term
XC - Cross Country Recommended Location --> FRIM, around your house. Type - Cycle up, cycle down, cycle up, cycle down. Trail condition - double track, smooth to small bumps dirt road, gravel or tarmac. Obstacles - Human, small humps.
AM - All Mountain Recomendation Location --> Kiara, PCP Type - More technical Cycle up, cycle down, push up, push down. Turn here turn there, drop less than 1 foot hill. Trail condition - Single track, double track, muddy, switchbacks, rocky, slightly bigger bumps. Obstacles - tree branches, roots, rocks, switchbacks.
FR - Freeride No Malaysian doing this currently.
DH - DownHill Recommendation Location --> Kiara, Bukit Cermin, PCP Type - Push bike up. Come downhill as fast as your balls can take. Not for pussies. TRail condition - Rocky, bigger gap jumps, muddy. Obstacles - Your balls
Adding on...
What bike to choose ...
XC Bikes - can climb better but due to headtub angle design, fork length, you will have less confidence in going downhill. AM bikes - It is in between XC and DH. So, climbing not as good as XC but better downhill confidence. So, you are always not the best in any discipline but you will enjoy almost every trails you come across. DH bikes - You usually push the bike uphill as it is very heavy and headtube angle very big. Although, some DHer can cycle up steep hills better than us. But when downhill, you are quite save and confident, so, in return, u can ride faster.
What's the diff in these bikes? XC - Light. AM, Medium weight. DH - Heavy. Durability - Usually XC and AM bike can take most of the abuse from normal bikers in Kiara or PCP or FRIM. Unless you are riding DHer style, then probably your bike's life span will reduce. Other than that, it should be ok. After all, most forumers here change their bike frame or components every few months. Ha! Ha! Ha! Only one exceptional case, every few weeks! No chance to see the component or frame fail.

For new comers.
Question - I want to start mountain biking but I donno what bike to buy. Please advise.
Answer -
First to consider. Budget!
Budget below RM1000.00 Answer - No need ask. Just get one you think the color suits you. Heck. They are all the same. Choose these: Nexus, Exitway, Rockbike, Lerun and even to the extend Polygon <-- these are not really mountain bikes. Ha! Ha! Ha! icon_rolleyes.gif Budget below RM2000.00
At this price range, there are many "branded" bikes to choose from hence making us more confusing. Common brands in Klang Valley. Merida, Fuji, Marin, Raleigh, Norco, BH, Polygon, Giant, Scott, and probably a few more.
What are the important things to look for?
1. Fork 2. rear cassette 3. breaks
1. Fork from lowest to better fork - SR Suntour (SRS) XCT, SRS XCM, SRS XCR, Rockshox Tora, SRS Epicon. 2. Rear cassette At this price range, it doesn't really matter but for mountain bike, ask how many "teeth" the biggest cassette has. Preferably 34T or 32T. This is very important especially for beginner. Having 8 cassette, 7 or 9 cassette doesn't really matter as long as your biggest is biggest! He! He! He! 3. Breaks Wihout doubt, hydraulic brakes will be better than mechanical disc breaks and better than V breaks. Just that at lower range product, they all perform almost the same.
What is not important?
1. Frame design - At this price, all frames probably made by 2 factories. Giant and Merida. Ha! Ha! And it doesn't matter. 2. Crank - Many shops will use this as a way of telling you their products better. But at this price range, it really doesn't matter 3. Handlebar - You look and you like... get it. Doesn't matter at all. 4. Seatpost - Same 5. wheelset - No difference one. 6. Tires - Preferably branded ones like Maxxis, Tioga, Nevegal, Schwabe, Panaracer. Any other brands - Same. 7. Rear Derailluer, Front Derailuer - Again, some use branded gimmick to lure u but it doesn't matter at all.
Most important is the front fork. This is the one that determine whether you ride happily or cursing home. Invest in this. If your budget more than 2k, use back the same as above... and look for what you want. If I were to choose, I'll make sure I get the bike with the best fork first before looking at others.

brakes r not bad after all, used for 3 week and still getting use to it. previously using slx. but all the while my rear brake very noisy, i guess its time for medical check up. seems canot be still not run out. admited its a stable bike, move from hardtail to this. really a big different. climb hill not as dificult as i image, but need extra power for it, but still manageble. take it part of the training

Can climb frim Helipad?
Haha.. You need to figure out on how to cover the rear shock from mud bro.
And cleaning the bike especially at the shock part will consume you a little more time.
Have a nice ride. Let's mudfest at Kiara this Sat. Gonna roll my 3 weeks old Giant Reign there.

with this bike rear shock design, it was dificult to clean up since my hand is consider huge. i guess no way can prevent mud all over the bike, especial rear part, only few ocassion might happen and mostly wet track will cause mud all over the rear, and it happens to me for my first ride at kiara.
havent climb helipad yet. steriod hill got it for the first time ever since with few attempts made. ( even since during my hardtail also tak layak.) i guess with few more training and determination, i finally made it. helipad will be my next challenge with this bike.
too bad i cant join. i will just go pcp for a casual ride only. later will balik hometown during noon, and since just nearby my place only. enjoy guys~

Because riding styles and equipment have evolved to suit different terrain, deciding which bicycle is right for you will be easier if you know what type of terrain you intend to ride.
A common misconception is that a new rider needs more suspension because of the added control. While the added suspension may instill confidence in some technical sections, often time the relaxed geometry is not suited to less experienced riders.
On the other hand, it is just as hard to avoid the temptation of the ultra-light bike. The benefits of light weight are undeniable, but a novice rider will find XC racing bikes can be difficult to control when the trail gets rough.
XC Racing Bikes
Often called Cross Country bikes, XC Racing bikes are designed to tackle a mountain from the bottom. Lightweight and efficient, XC bikes often sacrifice comfort and control as luxuries you can’t afford when racing to the top.
XC bike frames are either hardtail or short travel, semi-active suspension designs. Long and low, XC bikes put the rider in a stretched out position. Best suited to gradual terrain, XC racing bikes are popular in areas without a lot of rocks and roots and among competitive riders.
If your idea of mountain biking is fitness and endurance you may want to consider a XC Racing bike. If you consider the best rider the one who made it to the top first, then your choice is made.
XC Trail Bikes
Often called all-purpose, XC Trail bikes are what most people think of when they hear the term “mountain bike”.
XC Trail bikes are designed to climb with control and comfort and descend with speed. With active suspension, knobby tires and low gearing the XC trail bike is slightly less efficient than an XC Racing bike but can be more enjoyable to ride downhill. As terrain gets steeper, trails tend to get rockier and the ultra-light XC Racing bike may ride roughly, but the XC Trail bike is right at home.
If you like the idea of challenging yourself on a rocky climb, enjoy extended singletrack descents and want to battle it out with your friends going uphill or down, an XC Trail bike may be for you.
All-Mountain Bikes
Some riders just need more. As adventures get longer and trails more remote, many riders see increased value in reliability and downhill control.
The bigger tires, plush suspension and powerful brakes of the All-Mountain bike are an insurance policy against accidents and mishaps and can be just plain fun to ride. With geometry suited to steep terrain and small drop-offs All-Mountain bikes can inspire confidence, however, on more mild terrain they can feel sluggish.
If you are an all-day adventurer or ride harsh trails you may be an All-Mountain rider.
Freeride Bikes
Freeride bikes are designed to ride the most extreme types of terrain. Steep chutes, large rocks and roots, big jumps and drop-offs, and just about anything else, natural or man-made, that you can imagine.
With only the occasional concession made for even the thought of riding uphill, freeride bikes are mountain biking’s version of monster trucks. Blurring the line between bicycle and motorcycle, bikes with eight inches of rear wheel travel, three inch wide tires, and eight inch diameter brake rotors are commonplace.
If you are attracted to the challenge of going big and see mountain biking as a source of individual expression, Freeriding will appeal to you. And what does any extreme athlete need? Well, a Saint to watch over him, of course
damn fine bike. Was choosing between this and giant reign. Perfect geo but the shock placement and internal cable routing turned me off. Still, thumbs up!

Reign 2, same as anthony's but im gettin frame only. Sold on the pedalling performance and weight though i wish the front is a lil slacker. Basically looking for a longer travel spitty, this comes very close.
shock placement, not replacement. 2 different meanings. That area is prone to mud and sand. The fact that the shock is positioned there will require extra care to minimize inteference from trail debris that might clog or damage your shock and its eyelet. Try going for a wet ride and ull get the picture. U might wanna get a stanction protector and/or DIY a mud flap for your rear shock.
Having said all, it is still a great buy. Consider that the extra precaution as a slight tradeoff for owning such lovely bike.

I'm not syok sendiri type laa.. I'm just enjoying this sport/hobby and I ride within my own limit. Safety is my main concern. We have our loves one at home.
Cool! Looks like an alien equipment. I wonder how much will it cost...

Heheh ...yup very true ... In my opinion and experience from crashing Among the reason people make mistakes and crash is because: a. Riding beyond your capabilities/skills b. Riding beyond your bike's capabilities c. Poor fitness leading to poor concentration

Yes.. But in my point of view. It is because of EGO. Cannot stand provocation by others.

Your size M ??? Oh mai. Size is very important yo.
Yup...Im about 5'7 ...so I fit a S or M ....
For both 120mm and 140mm fork the only difference are A, B and F For A the difference between the 2 size is 0.3 inch .... B the diff is 1inch... F is 1 inch Others are the same ...
So hopefully a size M for me is ok ..if not have to play with the seat and stem loh ...

Like driving a manual car and an automatic car ... U should also try join a jamboree ...you ll either like it or you dont... For me I like riding both XC and trail type ...I enjoyzzzz...like boomzzzzz

Well different people different taste maaa ....
For those doing jumps ok la use 36 ....for me 32 more than enough ...even if I wanted to ...they dont have a 34 for 140mm anyway
I think your bike support 150mm. Heard that 2013 Fox has new Fox 34 for 150mm and 160mm.
"Officially" its up to 140mm only ....by the way its a 5inch bike only ... And that day BF said 2013 price will be more expansive ....it give you a shox ...not shiok ... For now use the 120 first ....surprisingly no one wanna buy my fork ... Lucky I havent sell it yet ...

150mm wouldn't mess the geo.. Because of the 25-30% sag. and 150mm is way better. For me at least.

put teflon base lube at piston. piston kotor and must use teflon base lube cause teflon can stand the heat. none teflon lube will evaporate, and piston will stuck again..

expansive saddles will hv less padding... your butt just need time to get used to the saddle... after awhile u wont feel any pain. and of course there are gay pants which could help lessen ur butt pain... i shall leave this topic to the gaypanters here

So, it is not side bet anymore.

are you sure your butt can get used to the saddle? Different people have different sit bones position ...some are wider and some are narrower ....the saddle can help ease your riding experience by flexing and positioning gel/pads at the right place ...meaning it will help ease the pressure on your sensitive areas...
In proper saddle will cause chaffing at the wrong places and will make it really uncomfortable ...even with padding on your shorts

Hey guys, just wondering... starting to face trouble with my rear brakes after flying with the bike a couple of times. Already replaced my disc once (shouldn't have put disc facing out), but now it's impossible to properly calibrate the disc rotor/caliper. Looking from the side, even the rotor doesn't seem to be center anymore! Not sure if I should change the rim, brakes, or both. DH shop already tried replacing disc and it doesn't seem to be the issue - might have to go back this weekend and ask the boss to have a look at it instead of the machai.

do a butt test at specialized.you'll know which is the right width for you. recommended to get one that matches your sit bone with narrow design upfront. angle of the saddle is also very important.

actually i dont understand your fault description. disc facing out?. can be skewer loose, caliper senget, frame bengkok, hub koyak if you have already replaced the disc.
Err... the disc is swaying side to side (which can be "adjusted") and also seems to slightly out of the center position from the axis (but very minor).
My main annoyance is that despite putting a lot of time into correcting the side sway... I can't seem to get it perfect Still got slight touching at some spots. Quite anal about this kind of thing that's why now my head is thinking about replacing the entire brake system, or possibly the rim.
I'll swing by Uptown and see what the boss has to say. They don't have much selection of discs though... anywhere else to recommend? I'm thinking of having a look at Rodalink Bangsar as well...

My wallet very big, enough to collect alot of cards and receipts.
The point is not about such minor price. But its about what you pay for. Why must i pay more when i have the choice to get something of equivalence at a cheaper price. If all also support such high price then how we as consumers benefit from it.
Different rm10-20 is still money la. Though i wouldnt mind to pay extra if good service, but rarely see good service around unless you look like guai lou or uncle who parked their merc or bmw in front of hte bike shop.

btw, MHR, nevegal, maxis advatage.... or those XC tires with normal compound... will last u on road... any other aggressive off-road tyres will be just bad on the road... you will get bodoh on slapping the tarmac rather than lansi doing corner baring
anyway.. best keep 2 set of tires for specific use.. otherwise compromise is needed for ur intend

Of course big wallet not king dude, big deep bank account is.
Well it can be bodoh to others but i couldnt care less what they think. 2 sets of tires is the best way to go but that would incur extra costs. Im poorfag. Cannot buy rubber all the time. Rubber price increase everyday. I need to start planting some rubber tree.
QUOTE(malleus @ Apr 5 2012, 02:30 PM)
Doesn't the stock Diablo Pro come with 2.1?
And 2.3 is still kinda big for road use
I traded in the 2.1 for 2.5, wanted to try out downhill Big, but smaller than 2.5. Not that i mind the size of it, i just want to try out different sizes.
Maxxis HR and Minions is not true to size. they run a tad smaller. A 2.5Minion will be like Nevegal 2.3 lidat.
No experience on the HR, but Minion's a beast's claws. I'm running super tacky upfront though.
IMHO, compromises on grip coz you wanna do both urban and MTB is not worth it. 2 sets of tires is minimum. 2 sets of wheels if you're serious.
Like the chinese saying... Can afford to buy cow, kenot afford to buy cow string? I'm sure you don't wanna put a scratch/dent on your SC Nomad frame when the tires slips during your trail rides, rite?
I traded in the 2.1 for 2.5, wanted to try out downhill Big, but smaller than 2.5. Not that i mind the size of it, i just want to try out different sizes.
Personally I think that 2.1s will be the biggest that'll be comfortable for road use.
If you're wanting to use the same bike for everything like I do, you'll definitely need to have 2 sets of tires. Besides, using knobby tires for road will really wear them down quick too. I'll rather spend money on cheaper slick tires for road use than have to wear down my more expensive knobbies on the road.
Actually ...for most of what you want to know ...you can get from this book ...even clarification on Tyres ...may not be up to date ...but its not too out dated ...
I do not know which to go for, as both have fine design.
For el cheapo's bike. Those below Rm2K are mostly the same. Be the groupset, wheelset or the frame. Most item are just averages or below. Choose the COLOUR and DESIGN which caught your eye. Simple.

if you want to save... ever more reason to get 2 set of tyres.. they last longer and safer...save more money long term a set of off road tyres can last for at least a year or longer depend how often you ride... mine 2 years still gooding
doing road + off road... u wear them prematurely and compromised on grips both on road and off road.. thats just plain stupid poor man pay twice...

Hmm.... Jalan Birai seems to be next to Bukit Cahaya.. so can access the single trail there? Any guide on the entry point? Very keen to explore.
is it a heavy forest? Any wet flowing stream?
Actually there is an entry point. I have been using that for quite awhile. there is a fence there but i think the indon workers broke a hole through. you will end up at the spices garden in bkt cahaya. lol.
Smaller than its stated size? I see, then i need to have a look at it first. Later too small. 2.1 macam not enough grip? My raleigh no handling thats why need big surface contact. How much is this book? Now at least i have an idea of what the price range is. Aiyaa rm100 thing but you try fit in 5k inside your wallet open for them to see, terus be nice introduce you stuff for you to buy. Guess i didnt explain properly. RM5k in wallet? U go try can or not first... If u carry 5k around in malaysia... Your wallet is rubber band...

OMG... This video will inspire Sinjiapoh people to organize something similiar in the FINE city and all the participants will come in their FS 29er XC rigs with all the blings

Spez shop did have the Pitch last time, but I think demand is not there so they drop it after the 1st lot.
Last heard, there's a brand new 2010 Pitch for sales at a discounted price in Kedah, 3k plus for complete bike IINM. Sorry, can't recall the shop name or contact info.
Alternately you can post a WTB in BBS. Alot of bike shops do frequent there...
Guys ...Im thinking of using the carbon stickers on my bike ...I ve seen some using it ...I wanna put it on my Carbon swing arm ...for added protection ...
Just short 1cm on the travel between Pitch and Enduro... Price alot of difference lo.

Tech Q: Carbon sticker
Guys ...Im thinking of using the carbon stickers on my bike ...I ve seen some using it ...I wanna put it on my Carbon swing arm ...for added protection ...
Do you think the car shop can do for me?
Carbon stickers from normal shops are too thin to give any sort of protection. Unless you're talking bout the Lizard Skin protection stickers in carbon look?

Frankly, get those Helicopter tape from Ebay (cheaper) and stick it on before the tube wraps lo since nobody's gonna see your carbon on carbon blings under the wrapped tubes anyway.

No need to attach sticker.

No time to ride doesnt mean no time to vandalize ...heheheh
No la ...we re not accusing anyone ...but its just to remind everyone of the unwritten rules of riding ... Try not to damage the natural trail... In some places you re not allowed to ride when the trail is wet .... Here not only people ride in the rain ...they even drag the brakes, damaging the trail ...

Why can't you find a conclusion for it? I think it depends on you. What you want. I'm just choosing 29er coz I've tried 26 and haven't try 29.
Cause Santa Cruz 29er only arrive in Malaysia end of this april. I worry I get 26er, later in the future everybody using 29er. Not so rich to upgrade again. You tested 29er?

So what if everyone is using 29er...so far theres more 26er around ..so it ll still be there ...
Think about it ...at the first UCI WC XC race this year was won by Nino Schurter using 27.5 ...how? LAter they start selling 27.5 whats going to happen with the 29er....
I think its best you do your research ..and most importantly ..be very very very clear of what you want...where you frequently ride ...what you want to achieve with the bike ...
The problem is ...some riders are not clear of this...especially the last one...they want the bike to do everything ...you want an XC bike that can do downhill ...you want 29er because everyone else having it or every shop is selling it ...etc etc
If you re not clear of what you want and get influence by others ...there s a good chance you end up with a bike you dont like ...
A season rider told me ...29er needs getting used to ...for sudden burst on technical climbs ..its not so easy ...you ll need the legs and endurance to use it ...
Its like a Land Rover ...big wheels ..very easy to get pass obstacles ...but youll need a particular engine to run it ..it uses more energy to power through ...
the only problem.... it's 4 hrs drive away from KL.... in kuantan!

I just upgraded to 9-speed drivetrain...and still using mechanical disc brakes (some people consider me as old fashioned rider)
Dont think so much about future, get your gear and ride more. End of the day, it's the fun that counts.

I think the more appropriate question would be why SC Superlight? LOL... It's a single pivot 4" bike. It's cheaper maintainence no doubt with just a pair of large bearings, but how's the ride quality compared to those newer multi linked bikes? Bobbing issues?

Bike shops objective is to sell in order to make profit. Don't fall into the trap. I'm not saying 29er is inferior or superior to 26er. Try it or atlest do some research online on the feedbacks.
Based on the geo charts, the 29er SCSL will be slightly more stable on speed due to the big wheel and longer wheelbase. The bad part is a longer wheelbase will also be harder to manuvere on tight trails and less flickable with a longer CS. You may think you're an XC rider and don't put much concern on flickability, but what makes a ride fun is to be able to make the bike do what you want with urgency, not driving a trailer kinda slow response, rite?
The BB is higher on the 29er SCSL though. Good thing about higher BB is less pedal strikes on tech terrains, but on the expense of cornering stability.
I find it funny that the geo charts in SC website states both 29er and 26er's A2C length is the same at 470mm. It's common A2C length of 470mm for a 26er with 100mm travel unsagged. But a 29er 100mm fork should be longer. A 470mm unsagged A2C length is typical of a 80mm travel 29er fork. Maybe you could send an email to SC and clarify that matter?

So AM and DH is totally out ...therefore Im guessing you ll want a XC/Trail bike ...(dont take my word for it ...do your own research ..you wont regret it)
Just a suggestion, I would consider these bikes:
1. SC Blur LT 2. Giant Trance 3. Trek Fuel Ex8 4. Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Last but not least 5. ASR5 of course hehehe
You ll probably be able to build the bike at around 12KG or even 11KG ...making it easy to climb and dream going down...

IMHO, and after seeing some of these lembu riding those bikes,...I would recommend Trance-26er (Price vs. Peformance vs. Functionality).
You can notice how well it helps you to climb. But the bike is NOT rare...*True Story*

one said before and repeated "when you have the legs, the bike is just a tool" quit bothering on what to get and what others have. all you need is what you need for the job. know where you wanna ride, but dun know which to get? just go to the shop and ask them what they recommend. if you find that they're trying to sell you crap then you probably already have something in mind. just get what u have in mind, you're lucky if you get the perfect bike in your first purchase either way. don't know where to ride, and no idea what to get. Just choose within your budget and try it out. light, durable, cheap .. google

Agree that bike is just a tool ...Im not sure about others ...to me ...when you spend about 5K ...you ll need to do proper research ...unless you dont mind spending that much and end up with something you dont like ...
To me the more expansive the purchase the more I research and I ll only buy when I am 100% sure ...just to share ..I researched almost a year before I changed to my new bike ...( was also the time to wait for my Vitamin M to kick in hehehe)
For myself ...I dont claim to be an expert ..but just sharing experience so everyone here can enjoy biking and spend wisely ...
Every good rider started as a newbie ...today they re new... down the line they ll probably be better riders

This is like fortune teller telling you you will have good luck this year. But don't get into a fight as it will be bad for you. Don't go against your boss especially in July as your lucky star is not around to help you.
