Kiara Trail Damage

I got a new theory ....I  dont think the trails were damaged by riders (I hope not).....but I think its the illegal rubber tappers who go in with the motorcycles ....to make it easier for them to pick up the rubbers ....

On week days. I ride on road and a bit off road. Mostly is climb and downhill. Oil palm estate.
Weekends. Mostly off road. Alot of climbing. Downhill with lotsa root and rock. Quite technical track. But not much jump and drop.
I need a bike that can climb. That is why I thinking of getting SC SL. Because in order to go down fast. I need to climb the hill too.
My current group set is shimano XT 2010. 9speed
Fox float. Fuji frame
Wish to maintain my group set and fox. Frame upgrade

I'm Penang mainland. Everyday Tuesday and Thursday after work. Me and friends will meet up for ride. A lil bit on road and off road. Climb alot and down too. Saturday is the best. We ride on day time on bukit mertajam hill. I like Santa Cruz brand. Look humble the bike. Haha. Not much fancy fancy sticker around. But if I choose Blur. I guess my Fox float not able to transfer. SC SL frame rm 3500. Can transfer everything from my old Fuji Tahoe bike. Maybe a wait awhile to forge out more budget. But gotta test ride first. What bike you riding bro?

Hi Guys,

Want to ask if anyone of know people that rides folding bikes to LRT stations and board the train with their bikes. Planning to get a 12.5" foldie to commute to work.

Taman Melati - Bangsar LRT.

After some quick googling, there seem to be a mixed response to it. Some bad ones are to the extent of the rider being man handled by security personnels. A news release by PRASARANA BHD does say that they encourage folding bikes on LRT on non-peak hours. But again its a grey area. What time exactly is the Peak hour? 7am? 8am? 5pm? 6pm?

Anyone with experience or knows people who does this, hopefully can feedback to me on this matter. No point spending Rm1.5k on a foldie just to be denied entry to the LRT. doh.gif

as usual, officer say something like this but never send memo down the ground staff lo. i got a foldie but never use it for commute anymore. my route is only served by komuter and it is usually packed like sardines at rush hour, where got place to put a foldie?
1.5k is v expensip! my one was 1.2k i already consider expensip! now it just goes down to the shops for milk or the pasar for chicken biggrin.gif
polygon and xds got also these kind of bikes less than 1k. my advice check witht the ppl at the lrt stations first before spending the money smile.gif if you still want wheel, buy an expensip scooter like the ones kids play with.

Need some advice on getting a hardtail.
Which one? use for on road and some off road.
Specialized Hard Rock or Fuji Nevada 2.0 or Merida Matts 40 or Cannondale F5. Others include lower end models such Exitway ASX Pro.
