Nice one! Banshee bikes are reliable so to speak. Anyway, I've been riding a little bit of my AMP every once in a while and I'm thinking to get a Wildcard. Will it be a good transition?
*
depends, on what do you wanna use it for? i guess since its a bikepark/freeride and you are riding an amp, that should be a good transition. abit on the heavier side if you're planning to do all mountain / trail riding tho. just my 2 cents

dont buy second hand bikes. especially those that look like those in the picture. those are thoroughly worn and used. the repairs $$ will be amounting sama if you buy brand new.

you see i one time bought a bike second hand, if same spec new rm2k dift. so i got a bargain la. until:
- have to replace spoke then service hub
- rantai putus dalam trail. putus 3, my magic link ada satu je. then have to push out
- tyre botak already have to replace tyre and tube
- headset dah ovalised bunyi bunyi have to change
- bearings kena service
- handle bar too short tak sesuai need to change buy new
- fork kena hantar service
- the saddle tak best kena tukar

so all in all the hassle leceh man. id rather go buy and puas ride rather than have to waste my time repair and in and out in and out KSH nak repair all the stuff i didnt notice.

buy new.

hey hey... dont like that la... these are some of the potential people who gonna buy our used bike so that we can buy new one....
there are some good used bike out there...
hahaha off course there are good second hand bike. ive bought 2 downhill second hand bikes and they were awesome. just a little tweak here and there, because the malaysia scene so small. you cant afford to cheat or lie or sugarcoat the condition of the bike. you lie a bit sekejap aje the news will travel.

anyways, since the fella is a newbie dont headache la what to fix what to do. just get a new bike and ride.

that cannondale looks bad btw

want to ask...is kiara trail(aggresive downhill not include)can maximize 160 travel function?i ride 140mm travel but i seen many 160mm....is a trend ka,kiasu ka,want bling bling ka....or really really nid 160mm fork for certain DROP?
*
yea like everyone here says its up to you how to enjoy the trail. i love going fast everywhere and i hate climbing - some guys ride lepak lepak enjoy the scenery - some guys love going up up up up climb everywhere so its not fair to say if 160mm is just for blink. i know a climber that rides with a 180mm totem on a fixed gear hard tail ok.

each to their own.

mmg overated but for us who's staying in PJ / KL area we're kinda hard pressed to find a trail thats under 30 minutes away. and a trail that has many variety pulak tu. off course if it was my way id love to ride down jerai everyday but unsure.gif

enough about suspensions. the old school riders rides 3" travel for downhill and uses modified roadbikes with stiff fork for trail riding.

who are we to complain right?

semalam whilst turun flintstone trail, i bumped into an XC rider break break slow slow kambing going down. i jerit belakang "go go go, dont break dont break" but the guy refused to kasi jalan or go to the side a bit and let me potong. my front wheel berapa kali almost kena his rear wheel until one time got puddle he swerve tepi then i can potong.

sampai bawah i tengah cuci bike he appeared and he was like "bro! mana orang buat timing?"

sorry ah, kalau slow tu tolong kasi jalan to faster guys from behind.

but as usual its mostly common sense ...but I can understand if one is new ...they usually wait for a clear section to stop and give way...if they still refuse ...then common sense ada kureeeng la ...
*
dont know la sebab i also give way, sometime i go slow kambing also. just tap the brakes and hug the trees / wall. people will appreciate it

yea memang. tapi taiko yang hensem

QUOTE(Cyphereza @ Jan 2 2013, 11:54 AM)
Didn't get this part. He thought you were doing timing or what?

Anyway, I heard some semi-pro riders said langgar je the RD if they degil taknak kasi jalan. whistling.gif
*
kanot la langgar RD. ini bukan megavalanche. ini kiara ride for fun. kalau langgar RD nanti dua dua jatuh. his statement tu was more off a sarcastic remark macam laju laju also mana ada orang buat timing pun.

Hahaha...like I say...I NB...you pawa rider ...eroded or not still can climb huhuhuh ....

How to tell if its a NB rider at Kiara

1. Go in trail smiling ...coming out of trail opposite facial impression
2. Get upset with all the rocks and roots
3. Use sandal (true story)
4. Drag the brakes
5. Dont want to give way
6. Climb/push up the downhill trail (true story)
7. Spend their sweet time at the bikewash thinking its their own (true story..very true)

Im just joking here guys ....dont take it too seriously...everyone who rides in Kiara at some point did this before hehehe
*
this number 6 one time aku langgar a group of riders. actually i saw them jauh away but saja. i tapped my brakes already then dah dekat brake just enough to nudge them with my demo by turning sideways and langgar with my bahu. led by an uncle looking guy on a turner. oi buat apa kayuh up DH track. i mean when you climb up and see all those jumps doesnt register anything ke? yes DH track very nice to ride because DH-ers sapu the trail.

hi sifu-sifus here, i wanna ask that can i make my hope pro 2 hub sound louder?
*
more bunyi the slower it rolls. Energy from your legs and momentum is wasted in creation of the noise. best to keep silent and keep rolling. its the law of physics.

i retract, its a bashguard not a chainguide. but BB also quite high so bashguard use is limited to rider go over batu / root as big as peha.
