nice stuff , this thread ...

i used to do cy girls , but then i needed money and sold them all on evil bay. had 2 Perfect Body Asians biggrin.gif went for a fair price , i think. Electra and Destiny too.

thing i don't reallt like about cy girls is their proportions , too big compared to others. But it's good if your collection is mainly guys , because the clothes fit easily.

I'm currently outfitting a momoko doll with combat fatigues biggrin.gif

what do you mean too big? the boobs? tongue.gif

QUOTE(Lone Wolf @ Sep 24 2006, 05:12 PM)

my chopper is on the way. elder... later lar. no money now... moneyflies.gif

nice, but way out of my budget. anyway i think if i recall correctly when the very first HT predators arrived, it went for RM380...true?

HT navy seal combat diver. so cool thumbup.gif

the Preorder price is RM 398... issit cheap or exp ?? if i miss the preorder how much normally this figure will cost ? smile.gif

bought the BBI F15 and F18 pilots a few years back at a discounted price of RM80 each. For me those aviators are good enough for me. They even came with a stand.

RM398 for one single figure is way too much for me. sweat.gif

I bought it during 2004, it's hard to find it nowadays. maybe you can try your luck at Ebay.

anyway, here is the review from Michael's Review of The Week...

QUOTE(Hangmen @ Oct 27 2006, 06:30 PM)
Er, actually, Very Hot is simply a cheaper, pirated version of Hot Toys. Both me and Rusty agree it's quite 'good' because me and him had been into 1/6 action figure for a very long time (I think Rusty is much longer; I started back in 2001) and liked it for the tons of accessories it provided which makes kitbashing possible. Since VH is a lot more into mass-production than HT's limited edition release, the number of those in production are much higher, thus more accessories to kitbash yourself a whole team at a cheaper price. However, Very Hot isn't a good brand to start with because its quality, though generally good, isn't on par with the likes of Dragon, BBI and Hot Toys.

I started back in 2000 with the Dragon anniversary WW2 Hans figure. The quality was way ahead of 21st century toys. During that time, the RRP for Dragon figures range between RM150-RM180. Some even as low as RM120. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Rusty Nail @ Oct 28 2006, 08:35 AM)
WTF!!! RM80
I can't believe i spent RM220 on a limited edition F15 pilot from bii while i was still in school uniform. vincent, name your source please.
*
can't remember exactly which shop i got the F15 pilot but i know it was in mid valley megamall and it wasnt the current XL Shop.

for the F18 pilot, i bought it from KK toys. Hangmen should be very familiar with it. laugh.gif

QUOTE(Jackygwh @ Oct 28 2006, 01:44 PM)
yeah ? 80 is too cheap.... and tat quality is not bad eh !
*
yeah, the quality is really good. I also got the BBI scar and carlos combo at an even cheaper price. I think it was less than RM60 each. They are good for parts scavenging. Especially the scar figure.

KK toys as well. tongue.gif

The best I would say is DID http://www.onlinedid.com/

Dragon is the one which produces any imaginable version of WW2 Germans... sweat.gif

quit collecting 12 inchers for quite some while now. My last purchase was the WW2 Stalingrad Snipers Duel (Misha and Kater) and Alfred. All 3 are "OLD" figures. I found them on lelong.com.my at a very good price of RM250.. thumbup.gif

As for me, I get my stuff online from XL-Shop and The Falcon's Hangar, as well as from members in the XL-Shop forums. Offline, I got em' from local stores in my state like KK Toys though the supply of 1/6 is quite low here in Sabah.

Chances of getting older figures depends on which shop you go around Malaysia, as such shops may still have em', though their prices can be stubborn to drop at times. Also, if you have credit/debit card or Paypal, consider yourself lucky, as there are many hobby stores based in the United States that may still carry old figures and dozens of loose items from older series with it at very low prices.

I'm not into the WWII theme, but I heard a company called Dragon In Dreams (DID) are currently leading the way for WWII figures. On the other hand, companies like Dragon Models (not affiliated with DID I think) are quite good too, as they are one of the first pioneering companies that brought the revival of 1/6 figures in the hobby market.

a little off topic here. it has been almost a year since my last visit to KK toys. May i know wheter KK toys is bringing in any new MCFARLANE or 12inch figures? Is there any Scar/Carlos/Cy Girls left?
