Heard that Plaster ceiling may need larger space in order to do it else will look like weird. is that the case?

How much would this plaster ceiling need to be done by 10ft x 10 ft place? In addition, my bed room height isn't that tall. just 8ft++

Normally if is a big project, plaster ceiling will cost around RM2.80 - RM3.00 sq ft. Apartment project
with more then 1000 sq ft. will cost RM3.50 - RM3.80. Your room is only 100 sq ft. most probably it
will cost RM5.00 per sq ft. It is best advice to plaster other room as well.

cheers

This is very informative. Plaster ceiling need a very big kind of renovation? or just few hours can be done?
another worry is that my room has a ventilation fan on ceiling to refresh/suck the room's air. the room not directly have windows. Will this make the room even hotter without air-con after plaster ceiling?

ID adrien is trying to explain to you that if you only wanna do 100 sq.ft of ceiling, will be hard to find someone willing to do it. 100 sq.ft x $2.80 = $280, no contractor would waste his time. But if he charge you high price then later you will complain you got conned.

Economies of scale, normally you need to do a certain amount of work only got $$$ untung. As for the plaster ceiling, they can probably finish a small place in a day but then need to wait another day to paint it, all that for $280. If you wanna do new ceiling then redo your whole house larger area only got ppl willing to come.

Or you can buy a bucket of white paint yourself and re-paint it, will look better and the cheapest.

For the holes, find cornice powder in hardware shop, mix a bit with water and fill up the holes. For the paint, buy undercoat for the wood frames and paint one layer. ceiling just normal coat, no need undercoat. Just DIY, can finish in one whole day.

Not many people will want to do plaster ceiling for such a small room. You can try though but the cost shouldn't reach rm1k including materials. which is why i suggest you to just iy and repaint it yourself. Get the nippon ceiling super white.
