im on custom ROM and want to flash a new custom ROM, should i go back to STOCK ROM first THEN the new custom one ? or its okay to flash another custom over custom, with wiping cache and dalvink ...

But please hear me out, I want to say something first, don't shoot me down for saying this.

First I am not supporting pirated apps, as I still bought some apps, and some people in this thread do that also, they just don't admit..

If you all say that pirated apps caused the phone to hang, then let me put this rebuttal down for you.
If that is what you want to always prove it to be right, I have installed some pirated apps in my non-G phone, and tell you something, it never hanged before, it hanged only because I overclocked it, and that is of course like so obvious. Other than that, so many months it never hanged before. And when I put in my G, it hanged occasionally.
Okay, you want to say what you want to say, but please don't be furious. Nothing to be mad about, as it is the truth, those that tried to deny it, go ahead. This is just a piece of my conclusion and piece of my mind, okay, lastly, I will stop piracy already, I am buying apps. No joke..

Many purchased SG2 latter found out it was a G set. Compounded with issues i.e camera FC/ hang etc.

You already said no perfect phone, which means totally 100% no doubt no perfect phones, then pop up ip4s maybe perfect 

even iOS hangs occasionally. Also, like i said, please stop criticising G version hanging, its the fact that u install pirated apps that causes it to hang

And I agree with wildcat. I don't think g is that bad. In fact I even consider buying it before for its battery life. Only stupid users like positron will make the hangs sound natural when he's a pirate.

I don't think it's fair to put all the blame on Samsung alone.
Buyer/user also at fault as they didn't check the phone/box properly. Phone shop/telco also at fault as they seldom/never inform the different between the two version.
We must understand that Samsung release the G version that come with different box and different price.
True..the G version is still a working phone albeit a tone down spec from non-G. About the sdcard issue, hopefully Samsung can solve the problem with firmware updates. ICS maybe.....

What are you guys doing to get 4 hours of screen on time? This is without using Juicedefender etc, right?

I'm on Thebyani ICS ROM now with stock kernel, but even trying different kernels don't seem to yield noticeable improvements in battery life.

Do I have to underclock the processor? Anyway, I'm comfortable with the standby time now, which generally lasts about a day with moderate usage, and about 2-2.5 hours of screen on time.

Just curious because you guys are talking about 4 hours screen on like it's a normal thing, haha.

So far on wanamlite+siyah a4, usually get about 3 hours screen on time only. Wait till devs full develop their kernels/roms, then we can get 4-5 screen on time

want to know how to totally uninstall an app in s2?
even I used some apps to uninstall it n still there is some files not deleted!

for me checkrom + siyah is the best combination. i got 5 hours of screen on time. my usage is browsing and listening to mp3
