After backup you can start flashing so, what should i do next? XD sorry for this question, but i still dont know the difference about kernel & rom. xD |

QUOTE(del_Piero10 @ Mar 28 2012, 10:55 AM) What are you trying to do mate? the kitchen app is a portal for you to select your prefer kernel theme radio and etc. before downloading, please read the description of each item. make sure its compatible with your rom version. well i was gonna try to flash my 1st custom rom. on KitchenPro, i cant see if it's compatible with my rom version or not. the modem has to be the same with my current one (XXKL1) right? do i need to select one item on every tab? What i did before, i download the add on files but i flash it later by manually flash it via recovery. Added on March 28, 2012, 10:56 amWhen will LY.net produce an app like XDA website does. should be cool to browse the site via android app! so it's better for me if i flash it manually bro? again, im sorry if my noobness can make u guys go +1 for the XDA-like app! |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Mar 28 2012, 11:14 AM) The item in the kitchen is just additional stuff. You do not need to flash everything on each tab. Just flash what you want. Like themes, maybe some modem work better for you, or some mod that you want like call recording etc. The rom can run fine without the stuff from the kitchen, so its up to the user to customize his phone to his liking. oh. so i can just choose which one i wanna customize eh? if i want just the theme & some mod without changing the modem or kernel, it's fine right? just download from there and let it reboot by itself? |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Mar 28 2012, 11:29 AM) Yes.Download and apply, it should auto reboot and install if the kernel support it. Otherwise, download and apply manually through CWM. But please please make nandroid backup before attempting to flash any themes. okay. so if i make another nandroid backup, should i delete the old one? |

QUOTE(Shizuru @ Mar 28 2012, 12:55 PM) Its a good practice to at least have 2 or 3 nandroid backup just in case one or the other fail to restore or corrupted. is it normal that a nandroid backup size is about 1-2gb? alright i'll make another one before flashing anything after this I still keep my first nandroid just in case want to get back to stock. i need to get myself an external SD card. lol |
