QUOTE(hanaby @ May 26 2014, 08:29 PM) Hey guys, I am quite new to this. My current outstanding PB 4.9k/5k HL 4.9k/5k CIMB 9.8k/10k HSBC 20k/21k What is the best balance transfer that I can do and what happens to the credit limit after I do a balance transfer? I hope to hear from you all. Thanks. That' a lot..... I had about rm15k+ CC debts from 4 gold cards 15 years ago when I was still a bachelor...however I managed to settle everything in 1.5 years... in your case, you should refinance your house to pay the debts, otherwise it would jeopardize ur credit rating imho..

I plan to BT from Alliance VI to PB VS about 30k under 12-month tenure plan as per their latest promo https://www.pbebank.com/pdf/Promotions/tc_cashback.aspxQUOTE Balance Transfer 1. The Qualified Cardmember can apply for one-time 0% interest BalanceTransfer under 12-month tenure plan, subject to anaccumulated retail spend of RM1,000. . . Note : For Balance Transfer and FlexiPay offers, an upfront 2%interest will be chargedupon application of the facilities. The interest will be waived within 4 monthsfrom card approval date. In the event that cardmember failed to meet any of theTerms and Conditions stated herein, the current interest rate will be applied So , that's mean I will pay PB total of (2% x rm30k) + (rm2500x12months) = RM30600 ?

According to CS, for normal BT the 2% upfront interest will be charged for 12 month tenure .... However for this promotion the 2% interest (will also be charged but) will be waived (refunded) within 4 months... seems like a very good deal - 0% everything instead of paying the whole amount, put the cash in FD

QUOTE(onnying88 @ Aug 15 2014, 04:03 PM) Yesterday collect my watami card 6pm at ioi mall, on the spot active it and fill in the bt form. This morning 11am receive call for verification, now 4pm just received SMS inform me that BT has been approved. By the way, because of late approval of the watami card, my HSBC cc due date ady reach and I've paid the balance already. Can i request the bt money to transfer straight to my HSBC current account? Or need to wait the bt money reach my credit card account then only call HSBC to transfer the extra balance to current account? Can we do that? Ya, would like to know also.. or just withdraw the balance money without being considered as "cash advance" (no charge) ? This post has been edited by tigaxxx: Aug 16 2014, 04:04 PM

QUOTE(victorywp @ Aug 17 2014, 07:42 PM) if you have enough cash flow, i would suggest you to pay full amount and claim back later (call for refund on double payment). i would also suggest that you pay the same amount with your bt amount. in this way, it will be easier for you to ask for refund on double payment. Thanks..I think I'll do that my 30k transaction was posted on 1st aug..they will calculate 18% annual interest for the 95% balance starting 1 aug , which is enormous. ..

QUOTE(victorywp @ Aug 18 2014, 02:07 AM) 18% starting 1/8? no 20 days free interest? not really sure ... look at T&C here: QUOTE 10.1 The Card member shall not incur any Finance Charge on fresh Retail Transaction during the interest Free Period if all carried forward balances (excluding Cash Advance, Balance Transfer, Installment Payment Plan and other credit plans that may be offered by the Bank to the Card member under the VISA/MASTERCARD CARD Account) from the Card member‟s previous month‟s Statement of Account have been fully settled by the Payment Due Date. However, if only the minimum Payment Due is paid or partial payment of the outstanding balance is made by the Card member on or before the Payment Due Date, Finance Charges on the above mentioned fresh Retail Transactions will be imposed from the day the transaction is posted to the VISA/MASTERCARD CARD Account and such Finance Charge will be reflected in the following month‟s Statement of Account;
